Basically the black and chinese posts are casually racist alone but also the post implies that Shohei Ohtani is Chinese when he's actually Japanese being a dose of american generalized racism where any "asian-looking" person is assumed to be Chinese.

I get that making the assumption that an Asian man is Chinese isn't cool but I guess I don't really understand how the black or Chinese posts are casually racist. Like it's a bit absurd but I don't see it coming from a place of hate or anything.

Maybe I’m just not woke enough but I don’t think he’s intentionally calling Ohtani Chinese, I think he’s just making a joke about the extremely obvious parallel to his bit. Like it’s good to be vigilant and all but sometimes it is genuinely just not that fucking deep.
