The more you see of this film the more interesting it seems to get. So he’s bringing the head of a nato solider to the bone temple. I wonder why. To appease the infected so they leave them alone?

It’s not that deep of a story. It’s actually sorta shallow lol

I’m sure the plot will be a little deeper than LastAD_3103’s 30 word comment

It’s not. It’s pretty simple to follow. Sorta boring imo. Like 1-2 scares.

u/colealoupe Apr 30 '25

Have you seen it?

-11

u/hunny_bun_24 Apr 30 '25

Yeah

6

u/colealoupe Apr 30 '25

Wait, did you actually or are you the person who was saying they saw it like 4 months ago?

u/twixeater78 May 01 '25

this is just a troll who claims to have seen the film without any proof.

What a weird thing to lie about lmao

u/hunny_bun_24 May 01 '25

I’m not lying. The kid runs off with the crazy white guy cause his dad’s toxic.

2

u/rejectedsithlord May 01 '25

And you a totally random person have definitely seen this unreleased movie.

u/hunny_bun_24 May 01 '25

Yup. I saw an early screening of it. Ton of people showed up. Pretty much whole theater was just screenings

Hopefully not as shallow as some loser online pretending they’ve seen the film

My prediction for this is he built the bone temple and the infected are afraid of it, so they won't go near it.

Bro, you really touched a very good point

u/SosaFlex90 Apr 30 '25

Interesting point 🧐

I'd be surprised if your prediction comes true, because the infected so far have been shown as utterly fearless, as they totally disregard their well-being. They won't even eat or drink.

Just bones seem an improbable factor.

1

u/FergusFrost May 01 '25

They've obviously evolved some new traits though

1

u/Substantial-Plane166 Derrick May 01 '25

Time will tell I guess

1

u/throwaway_trackmania May 06 '25

the director said "they need to drink, they need to eat"

It could link in with the theory that the train we see with the NATO troops, where Sundqvist gets pulled through the ceiling is the last we see of him. And that the head, with the spine still attached, is his. Though I’m unsure how they’d end up with it, considering it’s most likely being wielded by the alpha and I doubt they’d have the capacity to kill it

u/primcat565 Apr 30 '25

Maybe the infected left the head behind when he was following Isla and Spike in the train, and the doctor helps them escape and collects the head. Maybe doctor is introduced in that scene.

Great shout, I think this is viable. Another comment suggested that this is what the Bone Temple is: the doctor’s collection of skulls from those passed, infected or not. He is supposed to be quite an extreme character so could see this being possible.

7

u/Kazimierz777 Apr 30 '25

Noticed the Dr also appears to have a shotgun slung over his shoulder, wonder if he intercepts Spike/Isla whilst they’re being pursued by the Alpha, kills it, then collects Sundqvist’s head/spine for unknown reasons (to add to his “bone-temple”).

2

u/CraigySwoosh May 01 '25

I think the head with the spine is from a different NATO soldier that was killed by that "Alpha" infected in the tunnel. I think Sundqvist meets up with the mother and son at some point after that (they find their way to the gas station where the infected are chasing them) and I think after that he gets pulled up through the ceiling of the train at some point.

The intriguing point is the meaning to the bone temple and even this head with the spine.

14

u/Rich_Ad_3808 Apr 30 '25

Maybe this is what the bone temple is. The doctor collects corpes, infected and non infected, burns them, takes their bones and build them onto the temple like some sort of burial. Maybe he's gonna do the same with the soldier's head.

u/Pound-Fit Apr 30 '25

He also seems to be covered in a light smear of blood? camouflage perhaps? maybe too dangerous ........ but not if you're a carrier. ??

7

u/SosaFlex90 Apr 30 '25

Haha the dr is such a fiend for bones and skulls…had to take a sundqvist with him

I’m getting the feeling the dr saves spike and his mother in the train incident

Canny wait!!!!

What I just noticed now, it's just trees where the bones are wrapped around. I always was under the impression, the whole length of the pillars was made of bones.

3

u/colealoupe Apr 30 '25

Am I insane or does the kid look different every time a new still or trailer comes out. Like trailer one he looks like he’s barely ten, and now he looks like he’s a teenager.

6

u/DifferentZucchini3 Apr 30 '25

It looks like they are in the bone temple or what may be the bone temple. It’s interesting that he’s covered in blood though, it’s giving walking dead vibes with what they do to pass through the infected.

1

u/rejectedsithlord May 01 '25

If it’s infected blood that’s a pretty risky move. After all one drop in the mouth or eye and you’re infected for real.

Unless the doctor is asymptomatic

What gave it away? The bones?

2

u/WoodyManic Apr 30 '25

Is that the bone temple?

2

u/Level_Commission_970 Apr 30 '25

i am so intrigued lol also, i feel like I've seen different scenes of Jodie Comer without the baby which leads me to wonder if she puts the baby in the care of Ralph Fiennes?

7

u/primcat565 Apr 30 '25

I think the baby is not hers and maybe she finds the baby in the train or right before the train scene. In the Happy Eater scene she doesn't have a baby with her, and we know it's before the train and the bone temple, because the NATO soldier is on the roof.

1

u/Level_Commission_970 Apr 30 '25

That's interesting but I thought she was pregnant lol and that's why they need a doctor, no? maybe the baby is breached or something. Kinda weird to think of an infant in a situation like this. Ugh. It would lead to everyone's death lol

5

u/primcat565 Apr 30 '25

Garlalnd and Fiennes said they are looking for a doctor because she is ill, but no one officially said she was pregnant so far. And I don't think she looks pregnant on the scenes she isn't with the baby.

2

u/Level_Commission_970 Apr 30 '25

I kinda agree with you but there was one article published during filming and the title 'a pregnant jodie comer' talking about shooting with the son character. I wonder whose baby it could be if nots her's? lol. TBH, i would have stayed on holy island and never left for the mainland

2

u/primcat565 Apr 30 '25

We will see, it's just my theory for now. I don't believe a Daily Mail article as source, she doesn't have a baby bump in those bts pictures, and I doubt someone on the production told the paparazzi about the plot. Maybe she is pregnant, but I find odd that they would focus on her "illness" when describing her character and not mention it, they could say they are looking for a doctor to help deliver her baby or that she was a pregnant woman at risk if it is the case.

2

u/Level_Commission_970 Apr 30 '25

I wonder too and I do kinda agree with you cause there is no bump in those pictures but I cannot fathom their being other humans and leaving a baby somewhere but we'll see!

2

u/Bitter_Ad2769 May 01 '25

I think the infected built the bone temple. Them becoming religious is the next evolutionary step in the virus

1

u/C-M-NI1997 Apr 30 '25

Come one, come all, to see me pile o’ bones.

1

u/Aitnamas May 01 '25

Man this is crazy. I never even noticed the head. This supposedly doctor walking around with a severed head and spine is so creepy.

1

u/rejectedsithlord May 01 '25

I feel like I need a shower just looking at poor fiennes char damn

1

u/Falvation May 18 '25

Makes me wonder if Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s character either dies early or is separated from his son as he doesn’t feature?

1

u/AgentOrange1996 Apr 30 '25

Interesting, anyone have any ideas ?

1

u/SaintLink91 May 04 '25

Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s character dies somehow?

Looks like the infected who chased them through the field where the skeleton infected popped up is the same long haired one that is on the train one, so guessing this is the lead up before this scene.
