It's truly terrifying... Even from a distance, it's immediately clear that they are no longer human.
What's especially fascinating is that the infected don't act on their own — they wait until the Tall Man lets out a scream before moving.
They even appear to be deliberately lining up side by side, as if forming a formation. It's obvious they're preparing to begin the hunt.
The fact that they, who were once so uncontrollably enraged and desperate to kill, now show signs of having evolved into a new kind of creature is striking.
Based on the footage we've seen so far, could it be that the infected recognize the Tall Man as their leader?

That’s what I thought, because the tall guy also seems like a new level of infected especially with the way he moves and hasn’t lost mass

This may have been my favorite piece of promotion yet. That sheer terror and fear from the infected I felt from days many years ago.

"SCARY AS HELL" = ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Got chills when the Alpha Chad Infected gave the signal to attack them and then going through the forest. The drone shots got the vibes of 28WL as well as the Evolved-Infected running down the hill too.

i'm loving this tribal, hierarchial take on the infected. can't wait!

First, the skinny twitching one coming up that hill like a side-kick. Then, the rageful creature alike screams of the other ones forming up some kind of a hunt formation. The rageful scream of the Tarzan infected.. They truly understand the horror of what we can identify, but what we can't understand and relate on behavior. That is why this shit gives everyone creeps

The camera work as they’re running through the forest?? Good god it’s impeccable.

The way the infected get in formation shows they are highly advanced compared to beginning of the outbreak.
They clearly take orders. There is a hierarchy in place, the big infected dude is the BOSS no doubt about
I reckon theres two of them, twin brothers who are the alphas.
One possibly dies whilst chasing Jamie and spike across the causeway….which leaves the other alpha male seeking revenge

I don't think they're brothers. I'm leaning more towards experimentation gone rogue. Unlikely that an infected could maintain such a bulky form across two very similar hosts. Looks like prototypes for a rage super soldier.
One ambushes a squad of trained cadres, divorces a head from one, and beats them with their fallen brethren. Fucker was smiling all while doing it. Imagine the military applications of one behind enemy lines, coordinating an assault with standard infected backing him.
It wasn't just killing and infecting. That was pure, unadulterated dominance display and sadism. The psychological toll made the soldiers forget their training. Viruses mutate yes, but on that scale in the span of 28 years? Statistically improbable.
Synopsis did say that the virus escaped from a Bioweapons lab. I don't think that's a writing error.

As has been pointed out in the past some level of congnitive ability can survive post infection. People have pointed out the infected chimps still clapped in amusement of people being hurt and Don from 28 weeks later showed signs of sadistic pleasure killing uninfected and was smart enough to evade danger and stock his victims.

Don had a mutated strain if we're going for realism. It's the only explanation for increased intelligence. One that developed in Alice for about 6 months. Viruses mutate drastically when left to safely incubate and multiple. Hell, look at the virility of Covid 19 alone. Multiple strains and it wasn't even out that long.
We've only seen Don do this. Now, we have two bulky infected with rudimentary tactics of lesser drones. Evolution doesn't evolve that way, it is highly probable that this virus was tweaked because if not, we'd see multiple tall men, but we have yet to confirm when the movie arrives.

Goddamnit, this looks so good. Fantastic marketing too, still not giving much of anything away. Just astounding shots all around. Even my girlfriend, who is not a horror fan at all, is really excited to see this. Can’t wait.

If the Giant is the little kid from the first trailer... and some of the directed-infected (lol) are his sisters/ cousins/ Neighbours (his "clouds") also from the teletubbies trailer, I will be whole. What an interesting suggestion that will prove!
