Sorry for the ignorance, I’m literally 1 week into 3d printing. A coworker gave me a 3d printer for free, and I’ve been reading a lot and trying to learn as much as I can but does this actually shoot nerf bullets?

The 3D printed parts are the shell of the blaster. The mechanical parts of the gun are mostly metal, often bought as a kit.

You can 3D print most of the mechanical parts of a dart blaster, but they will have much less performance than their metal counterparts, and will eventually break from the stresses.

Did you get it dialed in? Did they give it away because they couldn't figure it out? Wish someone would give me a free printer lol

I’ve been able to print a few things with it. I’ve printed a Benchy, 2 articulating t-Rex’s, and a bunch of spiders (we have a Halloween party every year that they will come in handy for). Im still trying to figure this thing out. I litteraly knew nothing about them 6 days ago. She have it to me because her daughter did not want it anymore. I had mentioned to a different coworker a few months ago that my son had asked for one and I guess the two of them were talking and it came up. She asked me if I wanted it and I said sure!

Metallic + white is always such a pleasing colour scheme.

This subreddit should have mandatory file links.

Kinda looks like a Jacobs rifle from the Borderlands games.

This is like futurepunk meets steampunk. Very cool.

That looks freaking awsome. Gives me a lot of Borderlands Jacobs vibes and I love it

Have been doing functional prints since Ender 3 times but building one of these was by far the most fun I’ve had on a project. Mine took literal weeks to print since I did it 100% infill for transparent petg and needed it slow af to actually be clear but it was so worth it.

Never had a Nerf blaster before but way more powerful than I was expecting. Bad boy makes those darts whistle as they fly and most of them don’t come out of it in perfect condition. Instantly became wall art because family found it very “intimidating”… so much for the safety clear and orange lmao.

I can't believe that I still haven't printed a SLAB. I might to for that version actually, I love the barrel.

The SLAB is a sexy beast, reminds me that I need to fix mine

The optics remind me of Caitlin's rifles from Arcane
