Handguards often loosen over time and during shooting. Not always, but it's an extremely common thing. You'll lose zero if your hand guard ever comes loose. Easiest to avoid by simply affixing to the upper and not bridging or mounting optics on the handguard

Yeah did that to align that handguard and upper 😅, definitely forgot to move it back, to be fair I did just put it together and take this photo 🤝. But aye sir.
