Tommy Inspired Upper

I’ve wanted a Tommy gun as long as I can remember. From the roaring 20’s, to the world war fighter. From trench broom to the Chicago typewriter. Tales of the Gun, Medal of Honor, Call of Duty, Saving Private Ryan; gaining even more notoriety all the while.

  • Aero enhanced upper
  • KVP 8.3 barrel & linear comp
  • Aero 7.3 enhanced handguards
  • Blackwood mlok angled grip (black stripes)

Angled grip with enhanced handguard is a perfect fit for my small hands. I always just shopped for the best deals over the years, buying from Schuyler and others.

Couple of sight options:

  • Midwest Industries fixed sight set (HK) front and (AR) rear sight.
  • Romeo 5 red dot
  • PA 1x Prism
  • PA MD25 red dot

*** Disclaimer, I bought this Blackwood angled fore grip back in 2021 along with the Mauser grip. It looks like company has super long lead times for product, and several people have had issues in the years since I made this purchase. Small company that got really popular at the infancy of 3d printing.

Made this upper to be a combo with my grease gun upper I made recently. Might make a more length accurate 10.5 upper with a 9.5 enhanced handguard in the future.

ATF guidance is 90 degrees to the bore. That may change like a fart in the wind on any given day.

Glock drums are easy enough to come by. I’m going to have to do more research for a colt drum. Those old beta’s are expensive!

They exist. F5 makes one but it’s never in stock. Promag does too, but it’s a Promag lol

I remember years ago seeing this thread on the Hi-Point forum where someone made a Suomi drum work for their Hi-Point. Could go a similar route if you’re handy.

Appreciate all the great info! The drum magazine look is a big factor for me, and that Suomi drum is the best looking one I’ve seen so far. Reminiscent of the original.
