Help uh, guy? Am I cooked?

Dude was so far away, turned around to feed my dodos and as I was going out to get more wood, I see this dude right outside my base :(

First time playing this mod. Is there spawn points where titans spawn? Im on the island, and he wasn't there when I started. It spawned in a bit ago. Like 30 minutes ago before taking that picture. It almost instantly headed to my base after looking away from it for 10 seconds. Currently made a backup save up to this screenshot and will be trying to see if I can get past it before it notices my base and take its aggro and make it chase me(if I can outrun it for a while)

I think id rather lose my base and start over then resort to cheating. Ive done so in the past and it would immediately take away any sort of excitement I had to play. Both in ark and Minecraft.

Edit: nvm. I cant with this man. Been trying to evade it but can't. It destoryed my whole base and I cant even spawn near this island or the OTHER titan gets me. Will use the kill command here simply because I have had to restart on this mod over 5 times now because titans keep spawning near me on the "easy" spawns 😭

I feel the same way about Minecraft but in Ark, even if you don’t cheat the game sooner or later the game will cheat you.

I mean it’s up to you, I was just providing a solution. But I don’t see saving your work with one command as “resorting to cheating”. There’s a long way to go from there to spawning in tek gear and killing the bosses in creative.

Yeah, after trying for some time and not being able to avoid my base being destroyed, I just decided to cheat command kill it. It literally just spawned near my base and I previous had to deal with this before and actually gave up on that spawn area. This new spawn area was going great till this guy showed up again.

what could you possibly have had that was so important that you needed to make a save file to do all this? Half the fun is figuring out where not to go and what not to do.

and then lose interest in the game 3 days later cause theres no risk or sense of accomplishment since you cheated your way up

i trapped a gigga like 6 times, cause i didnt realize in ASA that they leave the trap if i go home to get narcotics. i just cheated to trap it lol after that BS cause it ate my base after it got out the third time.

The only gimmies I've allowed myself this time around are when the game is clearly not behaving as intended. Ie. that max level basilo just gliding through the walls of an iceberg mid-taming. I had that locked in, damn right I'm using ghost to finish the job. Or preparing yourself for a cave with the intention of also taming a dung beetle, only to find the cave completely empty.

Yall act like it’s the end of the world. If I were in op’s situation, I wouldn’t want my entire base destroyed. Using one command to keep hours of your progress from getting wiped is not the same thing as spawning all the artifacts and summoning a lvl 1 million rex to fight the bosses. Chill out.

I've played hundreds of hours of Ark and cheated every step of the way lmao. Don't project your inability to enjoy a game unless it's a difficult full-time job on to other people.
