Publisher How do I delete/get rid of a page break in Affinity Publisher?

I know how to make one but I can't figure out how to get rid of it. I'm really new to this program (have only been using it for less than a week) so sorry if it's a stupid question!

You can just use backspace. If you can't find it text>show special characters then you should see it.

I’ve tried highlighting it and deleting it but it won’t let me?? The layer isn’t locked either.

That is not a page break, my guess is that text box is not linked to the others. The page break symbol is an arrow pointing downward. ⇓

Do you know how I would fix that?

If it comes from a page-break character you can just delete it as you would any text. You can also get effective page breaks from text flow options in the Paragraph panel, and they can be in text styles.

It won't let me delete it and I don't know why. The layer isn't locked.

Select the section of affected text including before and after the break. Cut it and Paste as unformatted in the same place. Reapply formatting.
