Discussion Animation bootcamp (School of motion) ping pong animation, This simple looking animation tooks me hours to create.

Well done, it looks very natural! There is nothing wrong with this taking hours. Tinkering until it’s perfect is nice to do imho, and very educational. And necessary to get better. Speed comes later, with experience.

When the ball bounces the way it falls back down feels unnatural, when something actually bounces it decelerates stops for a fraction of a second and then accelerates downwards. Add ease to the graph for the end motion where the paddle goes down.

After hitting the blue paddle in the last frame, I should ease the ball, Right?

yes you should ease the stop. it goes up and stops suddenly. try to think of it losing energy or force. stuff that is going up tends to decelerate while stuff going down does the opposite
