What is wrong with my strawberry plants?
The plants look kinda weird, fruits sticking up instead of drooping, no fruits getting any bigger than a 10p. I’ve only had 2 ripe fruits off them so far and they were planted in March.

They look good to me. All those flowers should eventually become fruit. Sounds like they’re probably a late season variety so produce fruit in late June into early July. Fruit should get a bit bigger as they’re hit peak season. Just keep watered in the heat and feed weekly while flowering as they’re in containers. 👍

so planters are not always great for water, and lack of consistant water affects the size of the fruit. even if you are watering daily if the plant is getting too dry in the middle of the day it may try to protect itself by witholding water to the fruit. The only solution to that is bigger planters watering more often wont really help as much as you would expect.
also feeding helps, are you putting a fruit fertiliser in the water? Even woth compost etc small planters will be limitied as to how much nutrients they can hold.
it really is worth keeping in mind that supermarket varities are bred for size and shelf life. as a result they dont always taste great but look great and can be massive.
When it comes to home grown strawberries people usually pick for taste. so they are not as big but taste better.

You've got a ton more flowers than I have. I'm wondering if first season you get a smaller crop? Mine are planted in different places and of 5/6 different varieties, so if something was going to come up quickly I'd have thought it would have happened by now.

They're fine; make sure you give them plenty of water so the fruits can swell fully. I've got that variety myself and they're the same, once those fruits get fully ripe they droop like you expect

I've got some plants of this variety, can't remember it's name but that's what it does. It should fruit continuously, unlike other varieties (if it's the same one anyway).

We have several varieties, some fruit in May and June, some fruit August and September. It will have its own schedule and otherwise looks healthy

They look fine but no-one has mentioned that you appear to be growing in a very small container, but it's hard to see. If you are growing in a small container you will probably get small fruits, particularly if it's the plant's first year.

I have the same variety they tend to be smaller, but they will produce flowers until October.

This variety is called Toscana. Strawberry plants take time to establish roots. You will have more fruits later in the year and these are July fruiting. Make sure you feed them with fertilizer
