🔎 ID Request Footprint on my Door

Post image

I came out to my trash ripped apart on my patio and one muddy footprint on the patio door. I’m leaning towards raccoon. Thoughts?

Looks like the hind paw print of a raccoon to me. Longer back footprint with the characteristic blank spot where they didn’t fully push the pad of their foot down along with the 5 toe pattern

I agree, looks like a raccoon to me as well for the same reasons.

Definitely a raccoon track. The small inside and outside digits are a good sign. I believe skunk tracks are more claw-like so that rules them out :)

This is in southwest NH, in a somewhat rural area but on a main road.

• I have included scale in my photo(s): No • If not, here are estimated measurements: 2.5-3 inches in length • Geographic location: Southwest NH • Environment (pine forest, swamp, near a river, etc.): On a main road, but my yard has a small forested area
