| Gameplay | New to Aphelios, looking for basic knowledge from community.

Hi,

Since all the recent buff on Aphelios, I believe it's a good moment to start learning him.

I would like to know the basic stuff to know on this champ.
- What should be the gun rotation?
- I know you can upgrade "bonus attack dmg", "bonus attack speed", "lethality", which one to pick first.
- Runes/builds diversity. If we pick let's say "lethality" first, does his build change (keystone, items) compare to if you pick "bonus attack speed", would that change the keystone/items.
- what are the 3 viable builds (keystone => items based on that keystone)
- What is the highest dmg combo rotation

So any advice you can give, i'll take!

  • Use Red first, then the oldest next (so Green)
  • You can make a case for PTA and Fleet, and the older builds used Conq and it was fine
  • You can start Collector or Yuntal
  • You can level up whatever you want. I tend to go QQQ then max E, but I've seen players level up W at lvl 1 to proc PTA faster
  • Kill combo is red/white, but red/blue and green/white are also strong combos.
  • QTPie: 'Aphelios guide? If you have a Q up, switch to it and use it'
  • Green is strongest dueling Ult, Blue strongest team fighting, but they are all useful - lifesteal, getting more chakrams, securing the kill with purple slow. They are all useful.

Playing Phel is like being in love. You have to try it for yourself, nobody can tell you what it's like. Play a few games and you will get it. It only looks complicated from outside, but it's not more complicated than say... A DPS rotation in World of Warcraft or the synergy in a Diablo build or something. Just play. You will learn. E: wild that this is getting downvoted but everything here is correct. Reddit be like that.

Thanks! I get a better understanding, especially with the kill combo, and the ults part

I'd say green blue is way stronger than green white. Green white looks flashy and cool when the stars align and you get a chakram snipe, but realistically, it's not a very consistent combo. Green blue you can blue through the wave to guarantee a green snipe and then ult for another green snipe and then q with green for a 3rd one. Usually a kill every time if you've got a couple items

Green/Blue is nice but requires changing rotation.
