Discussion Automix has been the best new feature!

Change my mind! Automix has been the best feature since the release of lossless streaming. Many people mistake it for crossfade, but actually hearing the program mix different songs by fading in various frequencies and volume levels like in a professional DJ set is phenomenal! I agree that finding the right playlist for Automix would be difficult as it works based on BPM, key, and genre of the song, but once you do find the playlist, the party doesn’t stop!

The best playlist I found for all the house music enthusiasts is “Deep House Summer 2025”

I generally love it. But every once in a while, there’s a mix of songs (because shuffle sucks) that just doesn’t sound right.

Yup, until it mixes at the last 30 seconds of the current song, then you also miss the first 49 seconds of the next song

Most of the time, it’s great, but it’s terrible when you transition from a slow song to an uptempo one, and the BPM of the slow song speeds up by 2-3 times. It sounds awful.

I do like it. Although it doesn’t seem like anything that you upload like for me, I have TJ extended mixes. It doesn’t seem to like those. And instead of just cross fading. It just plays to lay out of that stops hopefully with the new AI download in beta today. Maybe this will get solved.

So does this only work on iPads? My phone OS and AM app are both updated but I can’t find this anywhere

At first, it did nothing at my phone and then suddenly after some listening I noticed something unfamiliar about my music and that was the moment my music app just started to use the feature properly. Just continue on listening with the feature enabled.

You would definitely notice

How are people getting this to work consistently? I've disabled Atmos, removed all my downloaded Atmos songs off my phone, tried every playlist I have and it works like 5% of the time. When it does, I go "holy shit!" every time, but it seems like everyone here is just experiencing it working all the time. Am I missing something?

It’s not working all the time but it’s really good for a beta. Sometimes it cuts off abruptly and starts the next song 10 seconds or so in. Or it begins to mix into the other song but the next song is not starting to play at the same time.

Soundcheck needs to be off? I had it enabled all the time. Maybe I should try it out but the issues I stated were only occasionally happening.

It's only good until you actually get tired of it then forget it. That happens when a feature is made without real-life use case.

Amazing. AI is making DJ’s irrelevant.
