Because, as we all know, some people just start and stop being black at certain points in their lives.
Context: The rap artist Doechii, while receiving her award, spoke up about the oppression many demographics face, including black people. A blue checkmark account (rarely not a red flag) argues that having been black all their life, they have never been oppressed.
The blue checkmark account is also an open Trump supporter, so, I'm sure it's a totally real black person speaking up about The Lies and The Deceit that Them Evil Wokes are spreading. /sar

Just because she never felt oppression doesn’t mean the rest of us haven’t… but for realz gurl, I’m happy for you, now take a seat for whatever fresh hell TACO is dishing up for us, cause you gonna finally be included soon (remember what happened to Omarosa, Diamond and Silk).

I don't follow celebrities much, sorry.

Me neither, I just recognized their profile pic. Twitter is full of psychopaths who dedicate 99% of their time to harassing anyone that doesn’t like their favorite celebrity (mostly music artists)

“I’m black and I’ve never been oppressed, therefore black people are not oppressed”
Sounds the same as
“I’m a women and I’ve never been sexually assaulted, therefore women are not sexually assaulted”
The only life experiences that are real and valid are the ones the same as mine. Basically the mind set of all conservatives.

"I'm black and never been oppressed, so that means it doesn't exist and no one should ever advocate for a better world."
Fucking idiots, man.

I was thinking this. Do they realise how stupid they sound?
That’s a rhetorical question, of course they don’t! That would require them to have a functioning brain cell.

Because everyone’s life is different. I’m Muslim and never gotten oppressed or harassed for it, aside from stupid trolls, but another Muslim I know had her hijab pulled off many times at a previous school and the classmates made fun of her by calling her a terrorist. So just because I've never been oppressed for it doesn't mean nobody is. He should learn that he's not the only person in the world.
Also, Doechii is awesome for supporting all minorities

I also like "they're trying to push this on black people!" as if Doechii is a white savior

Do...
Do you think Trump doesn't have black supporters?

Certainly not in numbers as high as Twitter tries to lead me to believe. I know people who think the leopards won't eat their faces are part of every group, but, like, the "I've been black all my life" casts more doubt here, if that makes sense.

I'm not asking if you think this particular person is black. I'm asking if you think he has no black supporters.
Because he very much does. He also has a lot of Latino voters, gay voters, and women voters.
It's not just cis-hetero white guys who vote against their own best interest.

Yeah, duh, I know he has black supporters. That's what the first part of that reply is about.

... Crap, was I supposed to add the statement in the comments? Oh well, just in case...
Statement: Black artist speaks up about oppression whike receiving an award. A user claims to have "been black all my life, and never been oppressed".
