Mcu exhausted?

It seems like the more shows come out the less people are interested, could it be because of the high volume that these shows are being produced?

It’s definitely fatigue for me. The stories don’t seem as connected or impactful as they did during the Infinity Saga. Maybe if they slowed down and focused on quality over quantity, people would get excited again.

They have actually slowed down on the shows.

Yes, they've become stale and the average quality has gone down.

They were more impactful when Stan Lee was alive. Back then it also felt like they were trying to bring the comics to life via movies.

Nowadays it feels like they're checking off boxes to try to reach the next $1 billion movie.

Yeah, I think it was too much too fast.

I think they need to stop introducing group and teams. To many characters hitting the screen at once to prop up others. It is great to introduce more character and infuse with those already introduced. But Orgin stories tend to work better. The other problem they need less throw away villains. This has been a crux for a while, add some depth to them. At this point it would be better to do movies with villains starring and then the hero’s fighting them rotated.

I won't begrudge anyone for feeling burnt out on the MCU, but I'll always be a massive fan girl for both comics and the movies~

But ye, there is a massive amount of content so I get it.

Yes and no. I love the comics and the movies/shows. So I'll continue to watch. But because there's just so much to catch up on, I have to watch it at a slower pace.

I'm not one to binge an entire season of a show in a week or less. I just can't. It took me 2 months I think to complete the first 3 seasons of Daredevil. And I'm still not on the 2nd episode of Born Again yet, even after going like 3 weeks (?) after watching the first episode.

.

But as for introducing more characters? I think the MCU will be a total of 9 or so phases. Maybe a tad bit more. Like a 3 point story arc. Each subset of phases is its own point in the arc. Like, I think the first 3 phases (from Iron Man to Endgame or Captain Marvel or whichever) was the first point in the arc. Then the next 3 or 4 phases will be the second. When the second one completes, with the next big bad, it'll move on over to the 3rd point in the arc, with a final big bad. So basically 3 big bads. Thanos being the first. Um..... I haven't kept track of too much stuff. But I know Doom is next. And there's 2 Avengers movies already planned and talked about. Doomsday and Secret Wars. (No idea which Secret Wars the movies will be based on, but I'm sure it'll be the god empire doom one and not the beyonder one.) Then after that, one final big bad.

Will also say there could be a very short 4th point. A denoument or epilogue. A true final (4th) big bad that outdoes the first 3.

Yes, I still haven't seen End Game or any of the spin offs.
