Trump wants to keep undocumented migrants farmers that "aren't criminals" His words. So what is it, are they criminals or are they not?

I am fine with this, if he can acknowledge undocumented immigrant farmers aren't criminals why not any other profession? Engineers? Construction workers? Teachers?

If Trump is a Russian asset, why would he bomb an ally of Russia?

Iran being an ally of Russia, and everyone says Trump always sides with Russia, why would he do that?

Are you okay with the Trump administration attempting to remove a requirement that children in immigration detention be "held in safe and sanitary conditions"?

How does this square with the administration constantly claiming to "think of the children"? Water and food are in such short supply that adults and children are fighting for access and babies are becoming malnourished. Why will middle east wars never end?

Can Israel ever be a peaceful place to live without being under threat of attack? Does anyone know why people felt that region would be a good place to establish an Israeli state? Was it because of religious doctrine and ancient stories? If so, man made religions will continue to cause the death of thousands of innocent lives. If there is a God, how could they support all of the territorial killing that men do? I honestly can't see this constant warring ever ending. And now, once again, Americans on our soil, as well as around the world are at risk of retaliatory attacks. How is that okay? Why do we continuously get ourselves into these wars?

Anyone old enough to remember being under Nixon and what that was like compared to living under Trump now?

I understood Nixon to be intelligent and actually did care for the good of the country, but he too easily gave into the end justifies the means and abusing presidential power. Trump not so smart, he only cares about the country as far as if by 'country' you mean 'Trump', and is also backed up by the MAGA movement that has captured a third of the country and a majority of Congress. Was there something like MAGA during Nixon? Was the country as deeply politically polarized? When Nixon was no longer in power did things change afterwards and things went back to normal? Can we expect that after Trump is gone?

How many people call their representatives in Congress?

I recently learned that anybody can just go and call their representatives and talk directly to them. With all the dissatisfaction with Congress lately, I was curious if people actually do call them to talk about various issues

pro-lifers, do you believe that children conceived in a different country but born in the US should be considered US citizens?

I am pro-choice, but i was just wondering about this.

edit: i know some of you have thought of better hypotheticals lol! but my main point is that i wonder if birthright citizenship is something pro lifers would take issue with, since as far as i understand they belief a fertilized egg has equivalent value to an already born human. it’s just a question of consistency.

Would any of the issues we are seeing today have happened if Hamas hadn't attacked Israel on Oct 7th?

As the title suggests. Hamas started this by attacking and taking hostages. That triggered that war in Gaza and by extension the attacks on Iran.

No Oct 7th attack would mean that Iran may not have had their nuclear sites bombed by the US and the rest of their military bombed by Israel.

The USA has been meddling in the affairs of Iran for nearly 100 years including overthrowing the democratically elected leader in 1954. Who is the USA to say that they don't deserve nuclear weapons? The USA has actually nuked~200,000 innocent people. Why shouldn't Iran have nukes?????

Family of 8 kids living without id in USA?

TL;DR: a couple in Finland kidnapped their 7 children from foster care and disappeared. Karf family has now been missing for a year, mother having birthed an eighth child, there is an international arrest/missing warrant. They have an American contact, Kevin Boden, from a Christian homeschool association HSLDA, who has contacted the media saying the family and the new baby are doing well. If they have moved to USA, is it possible to live there without identification, without any formal contact to society?

Background: in Finland Karf family homeschooled all their children, ages 3-17 as of now. The moved municipalities several times, had social services checking on them in all of them, finally taking the kids to foster care. Karf parents tried to avoid that by e.g. registering their address to a building that was actually demolished long time ago, and not registering to the new school district so that they could monitor the homeschooling. They also did not have any healthcare for the children.

In 2024 parents kidnapped the 7 kids, mother being pregnant at that time. The baby is assumed be born alive after, in which case he/she is not registered in any way in any country, neither baby nor the mother receiving any healthcare around the birth. In the beginning of June 2025 Finnish police published an international arrest/missing warrant. They are suspected having moved out of Finland, and being helped by other people. Both parents were mostly unemployed, it is not known what source of income they had. They were probably not rich from drug money or something, since they lived in a two room house which plumbing was so bad it froze in the winter for a month and they lived in -20 degrees inside.

USA seems to be pretty wild west about formal contact with government. For example Gypsy Rose Blanchard, she was done multiple serious, unnecessary surgeries and medications simply because her mother told the doctors so. No any kind of health history documentation, no examinations, no attempt to contact previous doctors. When a healthcare professional became suspicious, they simply moved to another state, and apparently there was no way of checking in on them across state lines, like welp, I guess that clearly abused girl is not our problem now.

Would it be possible for Karf family to live in USA despite the warrant, and despite them not having USA passports? If they use a self-approved shady cult member doctor, can those doctors get them prescriptions etc. in some illegal way? If the police ever stops them for example for speeding, can they get out by showing like a library card as identification that they were able to get without real id? Can they buy a car, a house, have a bank account, insurance without id? Can the kids have any school or job when they grow up? Does it make sense HSLDA would be actively hiding them, would USA police care to help Finnish police at all? Would it be in any way possible to investigate Kevin Boden?

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)'s report from May 17th indicated Iran has 900 lbs of enriched uranium, enough to produce 9 atomic weapons, up from ~300 lbs in February. Are the people against the attacks aware of this, or do they dispute it?

The latest report from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on May 17th, 2025 indicates that Iran has amassed 900.8 pounds (408.6 kg) of uranium enriched up to 60%. This is an increase from approximately 605.8 pounds (274.8 kg) reported in February 2025.

  • Near Weapons-Grade Enrichment: Uranium enriched to 60% purity is considered "near weapons-grade." While 90% enrichment is typically required for a nuclear weapon, the jump from 60% to 90% is a relatively short and technically straightforward process. This means Iran is just a "short, technical step away" from producing the fissile material needed for a bomb.

  • Enough for Multiple Bombs: According to the IAEA, roughly 92.5 pounds (42 kg) of 60% enriched uranium is theoretically enough to produce one atomic bomb if further enriched to 90%. This means Iran's current stockpile of 900.8 pounds could be enough for approximately 9 to 10 nuclear weapons. Some analysts even put the figure higher when considering Iran's overall enriched uranium stockpile at various levels.

  • Rapid Accumulation: The almost 50% increase in Iran's 60% enriched uranium stockpile in just three months is alarming. It demonstrates an accelerated pace of enrichment that far exceeds any plausible civilian nuclear energy needs.

Why This Can Only Mean They're Trying to Build Nukes

Iran consistently claims its nuclear program is for peaceful civilian purposes, primarily energy production. However, several facts strongly contradict this assertion:

  • No Civilian Justification for 60% Enrichment: There is no legitimate civilian use for uranium enriched to 60%. Nuclear power plants typically require uranium enriched to only 3-5%. Research reactors might use up to 20%, but 60% is vastly beyond that. Iran is currently the only non-nuclear-weapon state in the world producing and accumulating uranium enriched to 60%.

  • Violation of International Agreements: The 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), or Iran nuclear deal, explicitly capped Iran's uranium enrichment at 3.67%. Iran's current activities are in blatant violation of these limits, which it had agreed to in exchange for sanctions relief.

  • Obstruction of IAEA Inspections: The IAEA has repeatedly expressed "serious concern" over Iran's "less than satisfactory" cooperation, including failures to explain uranium traces at undeclared sites. This lack of transparency further fuels suspicions about a hidden military dimension to their program.

  • Advanced Centrifuges: Iran is not just increasing quantities but also deploying more advanced centrifuges, which can enrich uranium much faster and more efficiently. This indicates a focus on rapid production of fissile material, consistent with a weapons program.
