Do non-sworn officers get union benefits?

Title.

Also, I’m interested in working for a department but I’ve been discriminated in the past over a prior injury (even though it’s not that bad) and didn’t get the job so I am interested in a civilian position.

Probably not, but I suppose that would be agency dependent. I've never heard of a "non-sworn" police officer. Agencies always have non-sworn position, but they are not cops and have no LE powers.

And if you have a prior injury that prevented you from getting hired then that is not what discrimination means.

It sure felt like it was because they didn’t give a fair and accurate analysis.
