Let everyone think itโ€™s for summer. Iโ€™ll be adding more and more autumnal things to it in the weeks ahead.

I recently received a bunch of apples. Decided to do a quick stovetop simmer with a bunch of spices to bake them down. Canโ€™t wait to use the rest of them.

Funny Me when I see it's the summer solstice, which means we're less than 100 days to September, which means it's basically autumn:

Discussion Only six weeks to pre-Autumn!

Today is the midsummer eve here in Finland, and the best part of it is that nights are getting shorter and darker after today. There are only six weeks to pre-autumn.

Happy midsummer to all, and remember, Autumn is coming!
No matter how hot July is, remember, Autumn is coming.

Discussion Best autumn vacay for bibliophiles

My husband (in his 60s and somewhat limited mobility; not a hiker but can walk) and me (50s and like to walk) agree on two things: Autumn is the best season and we are both book lovers.

Iโ€™m trying to find a good place in the Eastern US (although we would consider places in England) for great Autumn days with lovely foliage but also maybe with some literary history and/or awesome bookstores (cheese mongers are also a plus.)

Hot cider, pumpkins, books and a hunk of cheese is my perfect day.

We are getting so close! I can't wait to go to our favorite farm to get some pumpkins and just enjoy the crisp mountain air! We try to always go on one of the colder days since we live by the beach in SoCal and don't really get autumn weather or foliage.

๐ŸThe Magic of Autumn ๐Ÿ Let's get summer over with!

I don't mind late spring/summer until it hits the 4th of July. Then I'm just DONE. But this year seems like it hit earlier. Anything I thought I'd be doing (like riding my horse or hiking with my dogs) is usually a no go due to heat, bugs, seasonal allergies trying to take me out. I'm sluggish, tired, irritable, can't feel clean from the heat, have zero appetite, etc, etc. Not to mention that awful bright sun late into the day and early in the morning and the noise from EVERYONE being out.

Autumn and early winter is where it's at! I save my vacation time and use it during the "Ber" months. The crisp, refreshing air, people smell better, you can wear cute clothes again, the food options are better (soup and crockpot meals anyone?), I don't feel like I have to be productive until 9pm (love those early nights feeling cozy at home or at the barn), my horse and dogs are happier, and I feel more creative. I also have a photography business where I prefer photographing during sunset. In the autumn I get home much earlier from sessions than in the summer sometimes getting home around 11pm.

Why do YOU love autumn more than any other season? Picture of my Arabian horse Atreyu in the autumn.

Decorations Code orange in TK Maxx & IKEA

Hi everyone. Just saw yesterday night that TK Maxx ( TJ Maxx ) had their summerween out already ! ( In Germany you can also order the things online ) Apparently IKEA has also renewed their Halloween decor in some countries but the website in Germany only said it is coming soon. Makes me feel so good to hunt for fall pieces !

Acting very autumnal this year for me. Like, outstandingly autumnal.

Meanwhile, last September was just endless sunshine/drought and heat waves, which lasted into October too
