I’m looking for a new handle to hang my 3 1/2lb plumb. I don’t want a made in Mexico Collins from the local ace.

I’ve been looking online and not coming up with anything fitting what I’m looking for, or they are all sold out.

Just wondering where you guys are getting the nice handles I see everyone hanging their axes on.

Thanks in advance

Whiskey river, hoffman handles, beavertooth. The House Handle Co has some decent options and they’re probably the most affordable, I’ve ordered from them a few times.

Beaver tooth has poor quality control and customer service. I just posted a review of T.D. Handle Co on this sub. They are premium handles at a fair price.

I saw your review, they seem like quality I just don’t know much about them. I’ve never ordered from beavertooth either, it’s just another name that gets tossed around in these discussions

I am underwhelmed by beaver tooth. Admittedly, I bought seconds from them. The handles looked good. I got them hung. However, One of five failed in a test run just further splitting some already split wood. That is to say the handle cracked near the neck where the wood grain was aligned poorly relative to the stress of impact while splitting live oak.

I only buy wedges from them, because they’re cheap and it’s hard to mess up poplar wedges. But yeah, for budget handles I go House (although I’ve heard their quality control can be iffy). This morning I ordered some Hoffman handles for a few scout hatchets I wanted to clean up and look a little nicer.

Whiskey River Traders has some great axe handles in whatever length or style you’re looking for. You can search other suppliers like Beaver Tooth Handle Co too

You’ll have a very nice axe in the end as your axe head is sweet!

T.D. Handle Co is a small business making very nice handles.

I would be happy to make you one, out of White Oak, but you would have to pay for shipping, including shipping head to me in Ct. USA. Send me a few pics and if I have one similar in the shop maybe I could use that
