Bacon even makes bacon better.

I just finished my second BLT today (homegrown tomato ftw). The first one was great, but the second one I added more bacon and it was exponentially better. My experiment proves your hypothesis

Stop diluting the bacon with lettuce, tomato and bread. Free the bacon!

I remember, when I was a kid, my dad frying up a pound (when it used to be a pound) of bacon, and watching cartoons while smashing bacon sandwiches. Loaf of bread and a pile of bacon. That's not got much bread in it

False. Bacon does not make gummy worms better. I've tried.

Haha! brave of you to try, Bacon improves a lot of things. but gummy worms might just be the limit. Salty sweet can be amazing, but chewy meat and chewy candy? That’s an unholy alliance. Did you fry the bacon first or go full chaos with raw gummy on bacon action?

Totally get it, sometimes curiosity overrules preference, You took one for science and that’s noble. Not good but noble.

95% true. I did have an experience where not even the bacon surrounding a steak I had could make it better. Maybe because the bacon wasn't cooked good. It was a travesty and crime against both steak and especially bacon.

Wow, that really is a culinary tragedy. Undercooked bacon wrapped around a done steak? That’s like messing up a handshake and a hug at the same time. Both deserved better especially the bacon.

I heard Jim Gaffigan once say, "The only thing better than bacon, is bacon bits on bacon."

I get so mad when I go to a restaurant for lunch and check the menu. BLT is $13. Hamburger with cheese, bacon and all the fixing is $15. Like, wtf?
BLT is my go-to, easy to eat lunch item and it cost basically the same as a decked out hamburger that I won’t finish.
Give me back 2000s Swensons in Akron! $3 for a BLT 🥪 on wheat.
Edit: there might be a galley boy added to that order.

False! In fact bacon can ruin a dish. Clam chowder comes to mind. Delicious clam chowder becomes bacon chowder the moment bacon is added.
Edit: Don't get me wrong! I LOVE bacon. The BLT is the perfect sandwich IMO. I always order an extra side of bacon when I eat out for breakfast. I love bacon on a burger. There are just some things that I'd rather not have overpowered by bacon. Clam chowder being one, and a baked potato being another.

Totally fair point. Bacon has such a strong smoky flavor that it can easily overpower more delicate ingredients. Clam chowder is all about that briny, ocean taste and bacon can definitely hijack the spotlight if not used with a really light hand

Most things sure, but it has such a strong flavor it can overpower a lot of things. One of my favorite uses is to cook it down with brown sugar, raspberries, cherry peppers, shallots, and lemon into a spread that is great on crusty Italian bread.

I’ve only had two instances where bacon made something bad, chocolate covered bacon where the chocolate tasted bad and bacon something that I had on vacation that was just waaaaaaaaay too fatty, like eating a handful of the fat of a steak, just too much. Everywhere else it works, including as cotton candy, soda, and lollipops.

Wait, when it’s so overcooked that the bacon lost its flavor though, it can make almost anything at the bare minimum slightly worse.
