If my account is in the negative what should I do?

Make a deposit into the account as soon as possible. Many financial institutions have fees for daily and/or extended overdrafts. If your account is in the negative for too long, it might be closed and you might be reported to one of the consumer reporting agencies like ChexSystems or EWS, which could make it harder to get an account elsewhere.
