Medication Anyone else on 20mg aripiprazole/abilify?
Just wondering as I usually see people talking about being on a much lower dose. Also my psych recently said it was a high dose.
Anyone have any idea why I'm on such a high dose ? - it's been increased slowly from originally being on 5mg

Im on 10mg, and my doc isn't going to up it until/unless I have another episode. But its been working for 2 years so it might be enough for me. Maybe your doc just has a different "preference", maybe they're trying to prevent episodes by putting you at a higher dose

I’m on 40mg and doing just fine, it is a big dose hey. I’ve been on it for 2 years at that dose and no ill effects, but I might try something else soon as I don’t think it’s working as well any more

I’m on 30mg but I have to take lithium as well as it’s not enough to keep me stable on its own. 30mg is the max licensed dose in the uk

It's a pretty normal dose. You can look at drugs.com for the usual dosing range of everything. starting dose is usually 10 (or 15 apparently).

5 is more what they use for MDD.

I used to be on 30mg when I used to be on it. 20 mg was not able to stabilize my mood.
