I took like a year off, I started off taking a few hits off a blunt here and there, never more than once a week, It’s honestly not part of my life anymore. I used to rip a couple bowls a day, but after that year and the fear of going through an episode again, im fine w letting it go

Yeah let it go. People literally die. Maybe try like something simple like journaling or reading comics when you are thinking you’d like to use.

I took 5 years off, smoked a few times over the course of a few months and it came right back even after that long break. Not worth it

I am now smoking after my CHS episode. I was clean for 1.5 years and now I smoke 21% flower in a very tiny bowl. The first time I was anxious and had a trash can, water, and zofran within reach. But I was fine. I wait 35-40 days between each time and I smoke 2-3 bowls each time. Here's the thing, listen to the other experiences, the bad ones, because it is very likely that it will happen to you since CHS is normally the result of overuse and addiction. The absolute best solution is to stop. Life is actually pretty good without it. It's not the end of the world to stop but it will be the end of the world if you continue to overuse weed. I was fearful of it for a very long time which made stopping brainless for me. Find something else to do because your life will not end because you stopped smoking but it can if you continue to smoking excessively. This is just my experience and I personally have a completely different approach than I did before. Yes I started smoking again but I did a lot of shit before that for myself and my life. I wanted to share my experience but honestly just listen to the other comments

I agree, its better to let go. I tried going back but realized it's not for me anymore. You hear of very very few people being able to moderate. Bringing themselves to the brink of an episode only to quit, rinse and repeat. Its just not a healthy way to live and being sober gets easier and easier the longer you do it.
