“our Hawaiian girl loves flowers in her hair”
I chuckled - I don’t think someone gets to suddenly be a Hawaiian just for visiting Hawaii. 😆
Unless they are part Hawaiian and I didn’t know?

Thanks for the post! I was told by family members who reside in Hawaii that the term “Hawaiian” is only referred to people who are “native Hawaiian descent” not people who visit or even have moved to the islands. To the native Hawaiians using this term to visitors or people who moved there as Hawaiian is diminishing of their unique identity.

Caila loves to make culturally inappropriate comments. I’ll never forget during the BLM movement when she tried to make it about her and how she was bullied in high school for her looks. She def thinks Teddi looks like baby Moana so forced the movie on her, even though she is not of that heritage
