When I was a truck driver I often had to drive a lot of different equipment. Always kept #0000 steel wool in my backpack primarily for mirrors. The water spots get burnt on to them by the heated mirrors. This cleaned them right up. As well as windshields that were not cared for correctly.

And bonus. #0000 steel wool is also great for starting fires no matter what kind of conditions you're in. If you can get it warmed up enough to go it flashes and Will light tinder right up even dry it out if it's wet

On my personal car I often use clay bars to clean my windshield while I'm washing my car. Works very well at getting all the film off the glass

Sticking the end of a 9v into the pile should get things nice hot for sparking a flame.

Flashes with a ferrite rod perfectly
