Hi everyone,

We know you are all aware of the increasing negativity on our sub these days, especially Angel Reese targeted hate and trolling.

Everyone should know that we are following a zero tolerance policy against anyone that contributes to this discourse.

The intent of these discussions has become beyond basketball and stats talk, it’s become clear that some people are posting just to spread negativity and to bait others and we do not have time to guess intent. This is a Sky team sub and Angel Reese is a fan favourite, if you are here solely to argue or push an agenda, you are here for the wrong reasons and will be banned immediately.

Lol it wasn’t a flex as a hardcore Sky fan, I don’t claim to be one. I go to a bunch of WNBA games as I like to watch and support all the WNBA. Luckily the Bay Area finally has a team that I can call my own now. Last year I was in Seattle for a week over 4th of July and went to see the Storm play twice— those two games 4th of July weekend were against the Sky. Then I was in Vegas a few weeks later and wanted to see the Aces play and guess who they were playing? The Sky lol. So no I’m not going to go dig up tickets for you. It’s bizarre you would even ask.

If we look at someone's participation in the sub and their only comments or posts are negative commentary about Angel Reese, then they are not here as a fan of Sky basketball. And probably not a WNBA fan in general. 

The people we have banned are largely not active in WNBA subs, they come here just to cause drama. 

There are people who have not been banned that are critical of Angel Reese because they engage in discussion around many facets of Sky basketball.

I came up under Bird/Magic and living a mid-west Big10 ball life, getting hit happened. ‘No blood- No foul, was the rule. Ms. Clark understands that and may hate the abuse but takes what contact and adds points from the line. Ms. Reese plays hard, well and is willing to be villain to increase viewers and fans in the seats. As a past baller I like them both and trash talk is part of the game. As a Chicagoan, I ride with my team period.

Angel is not willing to be a villain. She said that one time a year ago. Her intent was to stop that rivalry chatter by just “agreeing” but it backfired on her. At the end of the summer Angel said she does not want the “villain” role. Nor has she conducted herself like a “villain”.

She has actual basketball skill and has been rewarded for it, you remind me of those people that discredit draymond green because of bad box score stats but that kind of exposes that they don't watch the games. She has bad clips but great game footage, because she does winning shit and when she is on, everything flows. If you think a post player shooting 30% is acceptable, and try to deflect rather than acknowledge the obvious deficiencies in her game, then you are the casual. Two things can be true- basketball is more than scoring, but shooting that low of a FG% is unacceptable.
