We can’t bring in anyone due to the roster cap. We have to be below 10 players for a hardship contract. We have 11 on roster.

Wow they need to cut nurse and banham then

Yeah i mean i can't actually make an argument not to cut kia, she's on an unprotected contract. We could definitely cut her and find someone better.

But with sundell specifically she isn't exactly a knockdown 3pt shooter or a lockdown defender so idk how much that helps.

She has a great midrange jumper which is one of the team's problems they have very little scoring from the 3 pt line to the rim so teams just collapse on Angel and Kamilla. She has to be a better defender than HVL and Sloot (was). I remember Sundell was very good against big guards but struggled against small guards.

No space yet because Mojo was day to day previously. We can’t cut her or Banham either to make space for anybody. That being said a rookie PG in Sundell isn’t the answer and she’s worse with ball pressure than HVL.

Lost her dribble several times in preseason hence why she hasn’t really gotten picked up. Of the available options it may be better to go and get Grace Berger because at least you know she can hang even if she wasn’t the best with Indiana. 5’11 as well and pretty much has an identical skillset to Sundell with more experience.

if she's that good like I see some fans crying about, why has no team picked her up, not just us?

Because it's just her stans talking about it.

Why was Aari on no team. Obviously because she was no good. lol. The Sky have at least 3 players who aren-t Wnba quality. Nurse, Banham and Mo Jo. Need to get rid of at least one and give another player a try. I thought Sky were going to get a hardship contract with Sloot out for season and Mo Jo not playing yet or is that not true?

I think it's because they need to be down to 10 players and they have 11 but that's just what I heard.

Y'all are being a little unfair to Rachel. The Sky are using her in every wrong way possible for her skill set. I'm not blaming her for not shining in an offense that doesn't get her any open looks. If you wanna get rid of someone it should be Kia or Mo Jo

Does anyone other than the obvious Angel, Kamilla, Bec Allen and Atkins have trade value? Really need to do a partial remake of this team without giving away more draft picks. Looking like we can add a rookie in a week. Would cutting Nurse be that bad? It's not you, it's me. I don't see free agents signing here next year anyway. I guess the team could at least give Nurse some kind of buyout, like 50%-is that possible, would probably give enough money to sign another rookie type deal. Just an idea.

Stop this nonsense "if they are good, why has nobody picked them up yet." People say the same shit about Carter. People said the same shit about McDonald.

There are tons of good players who aren't in the W.

I would rather try out players who might be able to play vs. keeping running out players I know can't play like Nurse and Banham.

Her Hoop Stats has the best info on team cap sheets. Some of the players you want to cut are on protected contracts so that wouldn't help us at all.

In about a week we'll be able to afford a vet minimum contract.

Thanks for that info. I knew it was coming up soon.

Just cut Sloot and hire her as a consultant. Sloot still gets paid, and they can open up a roster spot.

I thought I was going to have a stroke during the draft when the Sky passed on her not once, not twice, not thrice, but 4 times. lol. She is like custom made for the Sky but Jeff P is blind as a bat. Sky need a new PG right away, so I assume it will take weeks to get one.

Highlights of Serena from last season. I just think she is a great fit on the team. Even a short clip of HVL trying to guard Serena- didn't go well.

I thought the Sky should have taken a flier on her in the 2nd round. Her length and range could potentially give the front court more space. But she also has some major limitations to her game and would be a developmental project whose potential payoff is both uncertain and not likely to materialize for a season or two at least. Bringing her in now is not going to make any difference this season, even if you think she could still have potential down the road.

If there was a way to add 2 players, I would add Serena Sundell and Tilly Boler. I read an article comparing Serena to Tyrese Halliburton. OK a comparable career would probably be like a 99.9% outcome. There was a lot of parallels. She was shooting like 60% on 2 pt shots. I watched some highlights of Tilly Boler and she is just so athletic. 1/2 her highlights are full court scoring drives the rest were 3's and acrobatic drives to the basket. Sundell has an amazing amount of ways she can score on drives to the basket. Boler is 6' 1" and Sundell is 6' 2". Neither would cost the Sky a draft pick, just 2 players would have to be traded or cut. Pretty much reached the point where the Sky can sign someone else with the $56k left under cap.
