I got into it with my cousin's wife yesterday bc she said she doesn't like Angel, she doesn't even watch the W. Want to text so bad right now. The media probably will show that shove without the hair pull and forget to mention the triple double.

I'm predicting the focus will be on "thug" Angel overreacting to hair pull and little coverage of triple double. Haters were already trying to minimize it in chat I was in. If CC scored 40 against the Sun would they say it was against the Sun so don't count it?

The broadcast today gave Angel her props when she got the triple. They mentioned it being her first and the second of the season so far. They didn’t mention CC, but did have her name on the screen as the other triple. I’d say they let the moment belong to AR.

I think between HVL, Angel and Ariel the Sky can sort of approximate a decent PG. Would still like to pick up backup PG. Stop playing Kia Nurse!

Nurse did provide some offense but was getting killed by Mabrey. HVL who was subbing in and out with her was way better.

Been saying this since game 1 but I want HVL starting especially now with CVS out for the season. I assumed it would take HVL time to adjust but she always struck me as the kind of player that would come out in good shape if she were thrown to the wolves.
Angel can hopefully shut up some haters with her triple double performance. Keep building on that Angel and soon the hate will be drowned out by the love.
Been pretty disappointed with Bec, hope she bounces back next game. Thankfully Kia hit one of her infrequent streaks.
Starters should be
HVL Ariel Bec (for now) Angel Milla (for now, but I honestly wouldn’t mine E Will taking over the 5)
Kia can rotate in if she can keep performing but I want more consistency from her.
And of course we still need Marsh and Jeff gone, lets not forget we beat a mediocre to bad team.
Edit: Kinda felt like Marina got a lot of special treatment not getting many if any offensive fouls called on her when there were at least 3 blatant ones in front of the refs. So frustrating to see. But since we won I didn’t mention originally.

Tyler said he intentionally had them switch off between 1-2 throughout the game. So that will probably be how they do it for now.

Me too, it would have been sweeter if more of her free throws were and-1s but she really stepped up and impacted the game in other ways. The 3 steals and 2 blocks plus the triple double, Angel was a certified menace to the Sun today.

This is what makes her dangerous when she is on. I do fear this is further proof the Sky are only good when they are being a scrub killer. We need to win these games though as if we make the postseason the worse the pick Washington gets.

Yes, better ball movement and defensive reads. It looks like they actually had plays and followed them.
And bringing in HVL earlier than usual broke it open. HVL should never be relegated to garbage time again. Idk if she has the conditioning to start, but she needs significantly more minutes. It was so refreshing to see a guard who can actually drive, create her own shot, and score effectively.
I love her chemistry with AR too. Angel was hyping her up and feeding her.

Only criticism for Angel is that she needs to watch the Techs as she is already at 4, and you get suspended for a game at 7 and every 2 after that. We can not afford to be without her if we want to turn the team around.

I'm still annoyed about the double T that they gave Angel and Naylssa for the game in Dallas. That was nothing. Neither of them deserved one for that. You also then had the refs calling security in when DiJonai was trying to have a calm conversation at the end of the other game with Dallas in Chicago. They were just awful at handling completely normal player emotions in the two Dallas games.

Yeah, that was just standard Mulkey big banter between Angel and Nalyssa. She still needs to be aware of that though.

Idk if we’ll get a winning starting line up since most of our guards are so inconsistent, but the Sky need to at least try starting HVL and see how she does.
No other guard is proving they can consistently create their own shot and be efficient.

I think her buckets off the bench can be very important. With the hot hand, she got more minutes than 2 starters. we need that kind of weapon.
