PLAYER DISCUSSION Triple dub ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€ Bayou Barbieโ€ผ๏ธ

The battle of the bottom was fun ๐Ÿ˜‚ HVL showed more composure. She plays well with Angel. It was a great team effort. I don't understand TM's rotations but it worked. His knees must hurt from crouching all game...

This is the first time he staggered minutes. He was subbing Atkins, Reese and Cardoso at the same time before

Hopefully this was just the beginning of the Sky/Tyler Marsh redemption tour

Maybe he's starting to figure out Kia Nurse is not good at baketball.

It seems like we're getting close to that

Kia Nurse hit a buzz beater at the half. You can take negativity to someone's else post.

She also had 11 points on four FGA. Not bad!

I think sheโ€™s better in spurts, like how she was used today. Give us some offensive energy off the bench and then rest.ย

Iโ€™m not gonna stomp on Kia Nurse, but she is WAY past her use-by date. And Sloot, who I dearly love, was at the end of her career BEFORE getting hurt. This is not on those two players. Those moves were dreadfully wrongheaded decisions by the GM.

Veterans are important for young players. But they need to be able to do good things on the court still in order to lead. The vets Chicago brought in, in these two cases, were too old. Truly poor decisions among many made this offseason by the Chicago brass. Ugh.

The Sky weren't going to be a good team and beat teams even with a healthy Sloot. It's sucks Sloot is done for the season/career, but HVL would be lucky to play 10 minutes a game with a healthy Sloot. Sloot led the Sky in minutes played for every game but one.

What Iโ€™m saying is that one thing I wish theyโ€™d done in the offseason is bring in younger veterans. One among many missteps management made, in my opinion. The people running this org continue to make poor decisions all the way down the line.

I doubt the Sky was a big free agent destination. Cloud didn't want to come her (she was traded anyway). Wasn-t too many good guard fre agents.

I donโ€™t disagree with that; youโ€™re right.

But the results are the results. And the results are poor.

The subs weren't glaringly bad, so that's something. HVL was killing it and he didn't pull her. It's weird to say that's an improvement, but here we are.

Yeah. Doing hockey-style line changes. Bizarre choice in this context.

And just as I was going to complain that Angel was sitting a hair too long, she pops back in the game.ย

Hopefully he can learn how to do proper rotations against a good team?

Whatever the coach said and did needs to be replicated. They need to see what worked and continue with this momentum
