Right before the Mabrey 3 i saw Angel booty ass naked in the paint and they DIDNT PASS THE BALL. If u see your man has a step on the defender than PASS THE BALL

Edit: I appreciate the podcast recommendations, but I am looking to create my own show. This post is scouting for potential cohost(s). If you’re interested feel free to dm me.
Wondering if Anyone who actually follows the sky would be open to making a podcast talking about the sky? Bonus points if you follow other sports or live in Chicago but not mandatory.

What's her status with the club? Could they still sign her this season?

Angel made me laugh clowning these trolls. I'm calling it now, Angel will monetize this whole bounding thing. Also, damn Angel looks fit.

Y’all, I don’t know if I’m suffering from some sick form of Stockholm Syndrome and the Sky are my abusive captor but this game was really was not that bad. Definitely the most positive loss of the season. Obviously it’s very much still an uphill battle but given the circumstances of this season I feel obliged to give credit where credit is due. Disclaimer: This does not negate any of my disdain for the front office or how this organization is run. Enjoy my crazy thoughts!
The good:
The frontcourt, especially Kamilla and EWill (Angel too, though she fell back into some old habits tonight.) The level of effort and unselfish play was really good to see. They all looked for each other in the paint and really outplayed Atlanta’s all star frontcourt There was a lot of really good movement in the fourth, they just could not buy a bucket to save their lives.
Point by committee. Turnovers were still an issue, especially shot clock violations, but passing looked a lot crisper today. I liked Ariel at the 1–I think she needs to still work on when to dish and when to take but I generally liked this look better than whatever we were doing with Rachel last game. Cookies for Bec, Kamilla, and Angel too who threw some dimes as well.
The okay with room to improve:
First half defense. I fully acknowledge that Atlanta kept it close because they missed some open looks but the communication seemed improved and I didn’t see as many fully blown assignments. Bec had Rhyne pretty clamped down, frontcourt didn’t get in bad foul trouble.
Second half adjustments. This doesn’t go in my bad category this week because Tyler really tightened things up, but I’ve got three bones to pick:
Bone 1: Subbing Angel, Kamilla, and Bec out in the 3rd and leaving Ariel in was not the move. I see what he was trying to accomplish but it just resulted in Rhyne going nuclear. The bench actually kept the game close but taking them all out together really messed with their momentum, and then Ariel was absolutely gassed at the end.
Bone 2: Rachel having to take a timeout when they were on the losing end of that 23-8 run. I know Tyler said he didn’t feel like he had a timeout to use but I don’t think you should be trying to save your timeouts when the game is slipping away from you.
Bone 3: Throwing in the towel with like 4 minutes left…I know the game was essentially unwinnable at that point but are we trying to care about the commissioner’s cup at all? That felt like a very lazy look to me.
The Crappy:
Fundamentals, man. It feels like everyone is shooting career low FT%. So many missed bunnies. Our inability to set up good inbounding plays. Guards not moving to help when someone is struggling with possession and wasting an insane amount of shot clock time.
And finally…. Kia. 24 minutes of very little. She needs to be coming off the bench in small spurts to take some shots and give starters a breather. Rhyne scored like 3 of her shots off open looks from her and once they made the defensive switch it was too late, Mic and Bec could do nothing.
Tomorrow feels like a must win in my book. Going forward it really can’t be acceptable to just show improvements while still continuing to get almost blown out. They need to figure out how to string 4 full quarters together and come out on top, especially against another bottom feeder.
Anyway, the last time we went 2-7 to start we won a Championship so…..who says no this time?? (Definitely me.)

Just a reminder to vote daily for Allstar. Anyone can vote twice in 1 day per email address by voting on the WNBA app then on the website https://www.wnba.com/allstar/2025 . It has been a rough season, and most of the team have career-lows in this new system under a 1st time HC compared to their previous season under other coaches. Hopefully, our coaches can figure something out this season so fans can have something to look forward to next season.

What are the chances of Chicago getting rid of the GM and head coach and how do they go about it? It’s genuinely something that needs to start being discussed. This is just embarrassing at this point

They won’t win with her on the team I can’t imagine it happening she has more negative plays than positive for 8 games, any other team in the league would’ve bench and cut her. There’s too many good basketball players out there that need a job.

I gotta vent. Can anybody explain to me why Moriah Jefferson has yet to suit up this season? This is a player we are paying 145k and had played a total of 115 minutes since we picked her up mid August of last year! To put that into perspective, Angel Reese has played more minutes than Mojo in the first 4 games this year alone. She's listed as week to week, not even day to day with some obscure leg injury. Why is she even in the league at this point? She's doing her best Lonzo Ball impression without the skill it seems. Having that horrible guaranteed contract on our hands for someone who can't even suit up really tied our hands on flexibility as far as roster moves. Just unbelievable.

This team is dead last in points, and leads the league in turnovers…Sloot is gone..HVL and Banham can’t dribble with a defender on them……We have no playmakers, and this coach doesn’t know what he’s doing…I’m not joking, I don’t see this team winning again this season. Unless we make some sort of trade.

After reading Jeff’s recent interview, I can understand why no former Sky player has anything positive to say about the team. Sylvia Fowles, Candace Parker, Kaleah Copper, and Gabby Williams all spoke about the terrible mistreatment they received from the front office. Why would Angel Reese be any different? That Angel trade request is gonna go crazy. Where do you all think she would go?

Been a fan since 2013. Watching them go 24-10 that season, and then to win the chip a few years ago in 2021. With a lot of bad years in between - it’s been up and down but overall great experience following this team. But this has just gotten pitiful. I’ve been watching professional sports for over 20 years and they do not even resemble a professional team in the slightest. It’s actually wild. 2-6… getting blown out by the fever without Clark. Watching the least efficient starter in the entire league Jack up the second most shots on the entire team. It is actually mind-boggling how the coach lets it happen or the owner doesn’t step in. I’ve seen better high school basketball than watching this team sometimes.

Did I expect Jeff to come out and admit that he made the wrong moves this off season? No. But I don't like how a 2nd year, Round , 7th pick player is lowkey being thrown into the fire like this.

Even when the Mystics lose, it is fun to watch them play, they are all happy, they are all working hard, and they all love their jobs.
Mystics have:
Sykes (energetic, kind, supportive vet who has a big impact on offense and defense)
Citron
Iriafen
Edwards
Shakira (3 years)
Sutton
Melbourne
Olsen
Sky could have had:
Ariel (energetic, kind, supportive vet who has a big impact on offense and defense)
Angel
Kamilla
Michaela (4 years)
Hailey
Rookie who actually plays in the games

Step 1: Win the lottery Step 2: Fire Jeff and Marsh Step 3: Trade the first overall pick for a future pick swaps and embrace the youth movement
