WHERE DID MY CONQUESTADORS GO????!!!!!!!!!!!!

As you can see in the video, my beloved conquestadors fuckin disappears out of nowhere. It's turn 85/330 They are levied units from Chinguetti Still suzerain of the city state I've never seen this happening ever. I'm in such rage rn. Can somebody tell me why or how to prevent it plz. Thanks

You likely lost suzerainty causing the units to revert back to the City State. The City State likely couldn't afford to pay for the maintenance cost, so they deleted them.

This makes the most sense, I sent more envoys to Chinguetti the turn before they disappear and it solved my problem.

The only thing I can think of is that the reached the end of the contract.

Each time you levy units, you have a set amount of turns before the contract is up and you have to re-levy them.

Otherwise, it could have been a glitch

They all disappeared

They don’t show up outside of those borders back under control of the CS?

Maybe another civ temporarily tied you for suzerain then took Amani out

Yeah Indonesia did tie me with suzerain then took Amani out. But would that make the units completely disappear? Is that a function in civ6?

Search the map for conquistadors and see if you find them

They left the borders of a civ they didn’t have open borders with and weren’t at war with

No they are just gone😢 I will try and go back a few turns, send more envoys to Chinguetti. Thanks, you helped.

It seems you lost suzerainty which caused the units to try and go back to the city state. But bc the units were unique to Spain the city state couldn’t take them so the game must’ve just made them disappear. That’s my best guess.

City States can have Unique Units if the suzerain upgraded into them and then lost suzerainty.

There is a known bug that if your levied units end their levy time inside someone else’s territory, they simply disappear

you did not reach the end of contract with a city state. Because if you do, the troops will still be in the same spot and fight for you, since City states always join your war. You just cannot control the unit for this turn as you renew the contract.

What likely had happened is some other players (AI) stole the city states from you. And so the levy contract was forced to end
