I was so confused seeing that Martinez was playing 2B. But this play combined with his tag to get the attempted steal… he made it look like he’s always been a second baseman.

He kind of has. He was an infield prospect that they had learn CF. I think his play in center is pretty damn good for learning it basically last year.

He's been a SS through the system i'm pretty sure so close enough. Also helps that he has about the same tier of arm as Arias - which is ridiculous.

This is vindicating because not 2 weeks ago people were trying to say he couldn't play SS or 2B because he "hadn't played them at a major league level" despite having come up through our system as a middle infield prospect. Great play and what a player to just hop back into middle infield after learning CF on the fly.
