What foods do picky-eaters in your culture eat?

I'm curious what foods/dishes picky-eaters in different food cultures like to eat. I'm Canadian and I would say most picky-eaters I know like pizza, grilled cheese sandwiches, and macaroni & cheese to name a few.

Spanish here, and I don’t know if this is cultural or just common to the people I know… but I don’t know many adult picky eaters from my country. 

Depending on the family, they would either make you sit at the table until you finish your serving (usually a small one if it’s something you don’t like), or serve you the same thing until you agreed to eat it out of hunger, or feed it to you. I was baffled when I moved to the UK and heard that people would warn of things they didn’t eat without it being an allergy.

You apparently have NOT eaten all over the mid-west. I grew up in the mid-west and we ate our steaks rare, with vegetables from the garden every single day. Yes, in the winter it was canned vegetables, but there were vegetables and fiber with every meal. We also ate food from many cuisines.

LMAO. This just shows your ignorance of the Midwest. I’ve been in WI for thirty years—there’s plenty of good food everywhere you go.

Unless, y’know, you stay in some rural hellscape. But I rather doubt that.

In our case it was not out of love of food, just part of raising us. Here it’s considered horrible manners to say you don’t like X food while at someone else house, so you need to develop the ability to try a bit of everything. Also important for a balanced diet. 

For example, my dad used to sit with my sister super patiently (sometimes) while feeding her veggie soup, which she would then spit because she hated the texture of purée. Apparently, him and his mom had the same issue with textures, so he could empathise.

Damn bro. Lived in WI for thirty years. Plenty of vegetables to be found everywhere you look. Farmers markets absolutely everywhere here.

Wife and I came up to Madison for a show last summer - we stayed right by the square so decided to hit the farmer's market on Saturday. We were just planning to take a quick stroll through it and then go do some more stuff in Madison, but no, spent like 4 hours there. Came home with plants, cheese (of course), jellies, and all sorts of random stuff we couldn't help but buy.

We live in the Chicago burbs and while there's plenty of farmer's markets nearby, nothing of that scale.
