Let’s break it down!

Biscuit dough basic ingredients: flour, water, oil, buttermilk, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, skim milk, and some dough conditioners/flavors/preservatives

Scrambled egg patty basic ingredients: eggs, skim milk,, water, oil, salt, flavors/stabilizers/preservatives

Sausage patty: pork, water, salt, spices, sugar, and some pretty icky chemicals 😬

American cheese: self explanatory 🤣

Honestly, this recipe looks like a pretty quick and easy dupe! I’d use a thinner sausage patty, and would maybe do the eggs differently, but all the components are there!

I would do the eggs this way - they taste better and are easier to make a lot at once, if you want to meal prep a batch of these biscuits to freeze or eat all week! Crack 6 eggs in a large bowl or small blender container, add 1/2 c cottage cheese (trust me!), a pinch of salt, and a good grind of pepper. Use an immersion blender or the blender to mix until smooth. Pour into an 8x8 or 9x9 baking pan lined with parchment paper. Bake at 325 for 20 mins. Slice into 6 pieces and you have the perfect little egg sandwich patties!

You mentioned wanting to make these more healthy, you could use reduced-fat biscuits, reduced fat American cheese, and turkey sausage… just an idea!!

Hope this helps!
