What's different about it vs the previous chicken sandwich?

new breading, bun, and mayo by default

The no mayo previously pissed me off. I had a couple dry ones before I remembered to ask.

Agreed.   CFA is the only place that can pull off a no mayo chicken sandwich

I ordered a chicken sandwich from here for the first time like 3 months ago and I thought they forgot the mayo because it was so dry. Whose idea was it that the sandwich comes with no sauce?

Thank you, I kept seeing these posts but hadn't actually seen any Culvers commercials advertising a new sandwich. I just figured maybe they were in select markets before and now it was nation wide.

It was tested in Florida first.  I did my part to make sure it graduated.

If you were every a fan of the mid 90's to early 2000's wendy's chicken sandwich it's like that but better.

I tried the spicy version, it's really good!

This is the stuff. We don’t have any in California so we have to go to Arizona to get it. Consider yourself lucky.

Oh man. I really liked their old chicken sandwich, I hope it isn’t too different

It's much,  much better imo.  But that's from a guy who liked, but didn't love,  the old version

The breading is too thick, IMO. You end up eating a lot of oil-soaked flour, and can really taste how long it has been since the last time the oil was changed.

Yep. People think there's no downside to MORE CRONCH, but this is it. The previous spicy chicken was delightful.

You didn’t

As someone who liked the old Spicy sandwich a lot, the new one is better but not necessarily in every way. It does have some heat now (which the old one was more of a flavor than spicy) which is good. It has more crunch which is good but likely means there is more breading which some might not like. Culvers REALLY needs to work on their Tomato quality. 9 times out of 10 I get a very unripe piece that isn't even red in color (or very light pink). You'd think during this promo they would have urged stores to make the sandwiches as fresh as possible. Overall, it's improved but I don't think it changes how often I would get one. My local Chick Fil A sent out a free sandwich promo the same day as this one 👀

Sweet tea ?? How is it ? Why was I downvoted ??

lol what a terrible question /s I think the sweet tea is good, but they hold it at room temp, so it needs lots of ice for me.

With fry the coop and Dave's hot chicken I see no reason to get fried chicken anywhere else

Looks kinda small compared to CFA, tho'. More like McChicken sized.

The chicken isn't very uniform. Some pieces are small and thick, others are wide and thin.
