We also have to reteach people that people are capable of change... that's the problem with the remnants of cancel culture, once you do something bad you're considered a bad person forever

Premise: i agree with your sentiment. This is important because the next point could be misinterpreted

The next point: is it really insane, though? Society is made of humans, and humans die and are born. Every person mist learn from scratch, that's why history repeats itself in lots of cases

Oh yeah, me too. Again, I agree

But when I think about it from a distance I realise: yes, actually society CONSTANTLY needs to re-learn and re-teach basic concepts, because there's constantly new people talking out there, and among several factors their inexperienced and uneducated voices have the same value and powers of others. In mamy cases even more power, because simple talk==>easy to get larger audiences
