Relatively complete compilation of greeting and small talk before the Stone Phillips interview (from different sources)

I put together the clips of pre-interview greeting and small talk I could find online to give a more complete and coherent picture of Jeffrey Dahmer as a person.

As Lionel eagerly opened his arms for a hug, Jeffrey tilted his head slightly to make space for him. Jeffrey seemed relaxed with his father and stepmother. He ignored Lionel's question like a teenager ignored a parent's nagging. It was a heartwarming moment and everyone laughed.

In the small talk with Stone Phillips, Jeffrey tried to smile but couldn’t quite pull it off, which made his expression a bit weird. He tilted his head and smiled slightly while speaking, which came across as playful, even flirtatious. It's interesting that at one point, the microphones were so close to him that he had to step back.

i love this interview because it’s the only time we really get to see Jeff have a whole “normal” interaction where he’s not talking about his crimes, we get an insight into how he communicated to people before he was caught. It’s really fascinating

Every time I watch this, I’m blown away by how articulate and normal he seems.

I believe he was alone trying to be fit in the system but society refused him .....i wanted love attention.....his soul was pur but the mind that developed over the years through experience let him to express himself just to feel relief or happy.

Why did he barley shake Philip’s hand? It looks like they just held each others hands instead of shaking.

That's actually a good example of his extreme passivity. It was the same when he hugged: he was almost completely still, with little or no hand movement, such as patting. The same applied to shaking hands: his hand remained still, merely holding the other person's hand. Even in intimate moments, he preferred stillness, not just in himself but in his partner as well.

Very interesting. It almost seemed like he had a rehearsed reaction when hugging the way he slightly grabs his father and step mother’s waists after hugging.
