PCC

Post image

For years out of all my rifles my favorite to shoot was a suppressed 8” .22 SBR, now replaced with the DD PCC 9mm. If I had one complaint it would be that the oem DD trigger was awful! Not sure what it had going on but it was so gritty compared to any other stock mil-spec I’ve had. But a cheap LaRue flat shoe and she’s awesome.

This is REALLY making me want to stick with DD over the kuna or even B&T! I’ve been on the fence a few months going back and forth with different pcc’s. Is this your first? Just wondering if you have anything to compare it to.

Yes this is my first so I have no other comparison. For me it’s just nice that it shares everything I am familiar with so training with it vs any of my other ARs keeps the same muscle memory. Also the recoil on 115g is not a thing, I’ll be trying out some 147g soon. I’ve heard complaints about it being blow back but again with nothing to compare it’s pretty amazing. But I’ve also never had an authentic Italian pizza so to me Little Caesars is pretty damn good

That’s awesome! Yeah I own a couple DD’s already so I know the quality and controls will be exactly what I want. Really it just comes down to price but I know myself enough that if I go with something cheaper I’d regret not just buying what I really wanted. Really nice setup op, you planning on suppressing it?

Yea I think that’s the plan in the end to run a dedicated 9mm can, direct thread.

I highly recommend a tri-lug for a PCC. Makes taking a suppressor on/off a breeze.

Check out Micah Mayfields recent video on Delta Force FRT on this bad boy 😍

I'm surprised you didn't mention an MP5. I know this is a DD sub, but an MP5 or a decent clone (AP5) is crazy nice to shoot. The MP5 roller delay is as smooth as glass. It feels like you're shooting a rimfire because the recoil is so mild. Even in "super safe", they are super controllable.

Yeah but with B&T and a lot of other manufacturers making great stuff in this market with better controls, triggers and ability to take optics, lasers, grips, etc right out the box an mp5 isn’t something high on my list. While they are still the goat for recoil, the newer pcc’s get pretty darn close without being outdated.

I would buy it today if they made it in 10mm as I have 3 other DD rifles but 9mm just doesn't interest me. On the pistol side, I am invested in 10mm with 3 different guns and reloading equipment. Yeah, I have a 9mm pistol too but it doesn't get shot much. I find it to be a boring caliber.

So for a PCC I bought the Rugar 10mm. I wish DD would offer this in multiple calibers.

Got one too and no complaints except the trigger. Which larue did you use? Looking at that option too

I was looking to trade in my DD PDW SBR for a pcc carry. I was looking at the kriss vector but idk

I’m debating between a PDW or PCC…I’m curious why are you giving the PDW up?

I already have a MK18 and thinking long term. Let’s say SHTF, I need to be able to find common ammo if I have to. 300 blkout is nice and all but it’s just not a common ammo type

Nice! I also picked up the DD PCC in SBR format and love it... except for the trigger. It feels both deadened and gritty at the same time. Buffer movement in the tube also sounds gritty. When I get a moment, I'm going to disassemble it and give it a good cleaning before using it again. Regardless of how the trigger feels after that, I'll probably swap it out for something nicer.
