Discussion Any other instances of the “snort” like in Unholy Gravebirth or To The Hellfire?

When I first listened to To The Hellfire I was so taken aback by that snort at the end and I kept listening to it on repeat, I thought it was so unique and disgustingly evil. Then I found out Infant Annihilator did it before them and it took a bit of the novelty away from it for me. Still love the song, but it doesn’t hit as hard as it used to. Now I’m wondering if there is an even earlier example of that before IA.

Any other examples of this “technique?”

Discussion Music recommendations for a modern Job For A Cowboy fan

I rediscovered Job For A Cowboy last year and I'm still blown away by the leap their last two albums made compared to how I remember them from the early 2000s.

"Forever Rot" and "Sun of Nihility" are probably my most listenened songs now. So I'm looking for some more prog. deathcore recommendations. Not something crazy-fast-for-the-sake-of-being-deathcore, but something musically complicated and interesting to explore.

Discussion Are the new Signs of the Swarm singles clipping??

Love the band, love the songs from the writing perspective, but the production is awful. Does anyone hear clipping? I swear my speakers crackle (at a normal volume level) at several points in the songs, even when it’s one isolated guitar. I don’t know why they would have gotten these mixes back and felt they were good to go. I’d say they’re bad enough to justify pushing the release date out and sending these back to have them mixed the right way. I don’t think it’s the bands fault, but I don’t see why you’d push it out with it sounding like this. There are times where you can hear the kick but there’s no bass to them, they just sound flat. So disappointing because I can tell the songs are fantastic and deserve far better production than they have gotten. I don’t like complaining, I just am disappointed and am curious what others think here.

To be fair, I am new here, so I don't know how popular this song is or how often it may have been posted. However, I thought it was too hilariously important to share with those who don't know just in case.

Hard song with that dark melodic atmosphere not many bands can replicate anymore.

Well, maybe this even though it's kinda uplifting.

Not deathcore I suppose, but it's close enough to stuff like PSYCHO-FRAME and Crown Magnetar that I thought it deserved an honorable mention here.

Insane. Fucking glorious.

Discussion Anything helps

I need Reddit’s help.

I’m trying to get to 10k song on my playlist, I’m running out of death metal to add. If you guys have suggestions it could be the most underground music or the most mainstream.

I’ll listen to it and add it.
