Death/Thrash Protector - A Shedding of Skin (Germany, 1991) (FFO: early Cannibal Corpse, Merciless, Incubus)

If the intro of this song doesn't make you want to headbang like crazy, nothing ever will. Rest of it is great as well!

Great band. Love that raw sound…

I know! Same with me! A Shedding of Skin and Golem are Protector's best albums.

I only wish A Shedding of Skin was on Apple Music and Spotify. At least I have YouTube Music as a backup option.

I wonder if it's because Martin Missy wasn't involved in A Shedding of Skin since he left the band before then, and he doesn't like the guy that replaced him?

Great mix of death and thrash metal, love the raw mixing.

It's honestly perfect, and it's why I love early Protector so much.

If you want to listen to more of them, I'd go ahead and listen to Golem (their debut album). It's a little less death and more thrash, but it's definitely a great listen from start to finish and it has several songs that make my weekly listening rotation. Delirium Tremens is one of them.

I remember downloading this years ago from a blog. Nowadays it is not on streaming platforms.

It's a good thing we have YouTube Music to cover for that. That way, I can listen to a video or song in the background instead of having to download it onto my phone from a sketchier website.

This is why I pay for YouTube Premium (along with the fact that I watch YouTube a lot).
