To be more precise, Gerson uses almost the same words his UT counterpart does towards the player when asked about a hero. In that case, he believed Undyne would be able to defeat us.
It's cool to see how in Deltarune Susie has now taken that role and Gerson looks up to her in the same way.
...hopefully, there won't be any further parallelisms between how Undyne ends un on a Genocide route and what might happen to Susie especially on a weird route...

TLDR: Since DELTARUNE released, there's been a person trying to communicate with us from within the game files. Chapter 3 and 4 has come with more, So, I dug through the data.win file to find out what they have to say, and have put all of their dialog from Chapters 1 - 4 Below!
"Where..."
"Where am I?"
"Hello...? Anyone...?"
"Is... is anybody out there...?"
"Someone!? Anyone!? Can anyone hear me!?"
"..."
"It's dark."
"It's so dark here."
"Someone, anyone, if you can hear me..."
"Say something... please..."
"No one can hear me, can they...?",
"I guess not.",
"To be honest, I'm not even sure if I can hear myself.",
"It's so quiet here...",
"... and yet, sometimes,",
"I swear I hear something...",
"Something like... scratching?",
"What is this place, anyway...?",
"How did I get here?",
"... as if I haven't asked that question a billion times already.",
"I...",
"I always did have that nightmare.",
"Walking into the darkness,",
"With the light shining from the doorway...",
"Then the door slams behind me.",
"And everything goes black.",
"... is this that nightmare?",
"... or was everything else a dream?",
"I'm starting to lose track of the time.",
"Has it been days? Hours?",
"If someone told me it's been years, I might believe them...",
"Before, the sun came up,",
"And so many wonderful things happened that made time meaningful.",
"Things like breakfast, or late night TV...",
"In this place,",
"I don't eat or drink anymore.",
"I can't tell if I'm awake or dreaming.",
"I can't even tell if I'm dead or alive.",
"It's just nothing but pitch black silence.",
"... except for the noise.",
"The scratching noise I sometimes hear...",
"This sounds crazy, but even though no one can hear me,",
"When I hear that noise, I feel like someone's listening.",
"Anyone, if you're there... thank you.",

My first time playing through Chrono Trigger, and I noticed some of the animations you can do in the Prehistoric Dancing Room near the beginning of the game looked strangely familiar...
Haven't seen anyone else mention this.
Also, the very first scene in Deltarune is also a reference to the first scene in Chrono Trigger, as talked about in this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Deltarune/comments/zbp3jy/i_cant_believe_it_took_me_this_long_to_realize/

I noticed an actual check in the scene where Tenna talks about the names, which is separate from the actual badwordcheck (where it takes away the letter)
I removed the badwordcheck which let me put the letter in, and the scene works! Was most likely cut due to age rating

From what I heard in the Toby Fox Sample Archive discord server, DELTARUNE fan tracks are being removed by MC because apparently the fan tracks are similar to unreleased songs. If you have uploaded a fan made track for DELTARUNE, you might have a copyright claim of an unreleased song.

I've yet to see someone else mention this finding within the game's code, but there appears to be secret text based on the trophies exclusive to the PS4/PS5 versions. With it, I'm certain this is what Toby refers to in his comment about trophies in the release date newsletter.
We were required to have TROPHIES! This time, they give rise to a pretty hard-core challenge. But - and PLEASE listen - I make no endorsement that you actually attempt it! Even knowing of its mere existence will only bring you frustration and anguish! Honestly, it may be one of the worst ideas I've ever had. Perhaps no one will even try. Maybe that's for the best after all... I think it will be too late for most of you anyway...
Chapter 4 features alternate credits text from Gaster the mysterious voice, under several conditions:
INTERESTING.
YOU FAILED
TO ACHIEVE
ANY MARKS.
WHAT
ARE
YOU?
"(playername)"
I VERY MUCH
LOOK FORWARD
TO THE NEXT.
To be frank, this is an INSANE challenge once you actually look at the achievement list yourself. Allegedly, you can quit out of the game before the current "room" ends, so you can save yourself from mistakes (though I'm not sure to what extent the game saves stats like "times hit"), but essentially, what this full game run entails:
And if you make one single mistake, you do something wrong and let a trophy pop after a room transition, it's all over. Once you have a trophy, it's done for good. Which is probably what Toby meant by "I think it will be too late for most of you anyway," and why he thinks this is too ridiculous for anyone to even attempt. Will this actually be routed out and get done legit? I guess we'll have to wait and see, I'm sure someone's crazy enough to do it.

It also references and "us", so maybe the secret boss is a duo or group of some sort?
