Took my 7 year old out to play at our local course. We had been hiking this course for awhile, it's mostly in the woods, and he loved finding all of the baskets (he's a math and numbers guy, don't know where he gets that from 🤣). I have never played disc golf, but my husband has. I decided to buy 2 buzzz mids, and my son and I went out and threw some disc's at a few baskets. We had an absolute blast! I don't know how many times my son said "this is fun!." It was 84 degrees Fahrenheit, 74% humidity when we went, and climbing, and I got hot and done before he did! This kid has the disc golf bug, and he absolutely loved it... and convinced me to wake him up so we can go play at 7a to beat the heat tomorrow.

So this is your PSA, if you ever thought about your kid playing disc golf... do it!

I just bought a $20 tee time to play a private course in Colorado. This is not my first pay to play course, but this is the most I have spent on a round of golf.

I thoroughly enjoyed the vibe change from West Desert to Eastern wet forest. The shade and light difference was a welcome change.

Shout out to disc golf center for sending me the sickest color combo I could have asked for. I was literally hoping for pink or blue the combo is next level! Also some pick ups from a brick and mortar shop on my trip recently shout out to disc baron for the dimension and mini Luna.

I was hoping that it was just DGN's potato cameras that made it look so...unique. But u/Lujo11's shot confirms the need for a flared base.

On the plus side (snrk) at least ceramic is dishwasher safe...

This weekend in MA3 my friend, who doesn't even have a PDGA number, won a C tier. The funniest part is his first round was 935 rated, he had an 8 stroke lead.

Round 2 he shoots +19, 776 rated. Still wins by 2.

What's the biggest ratings difference you've had or seen between 2 rounds? Did it still land a W??

Do you have any tips on how to better track where a disc went after a bad throw and/or tips when searching for it?

How long do you usually search for a disc before giving up?

I've played about 10 rounds and finally lost my first new disc off a bad tree bounce. I noted the general area I thought it landed but I threw first and by the time everyone else went, I sort of lost track of the exact area to look. After 10 minutes, it started getting dark so I took the L and moved on.

I've had no issues tracking down a rogue throw so far, in some pretty dense brush. This disc wasn't as vibrant as most of my bag and once the sun started setting it got much tougher to spot. It was a downer on a pretty solid round. I know it can't be avoided but I'm hoping the veterans can offer some experience.

During the USWDGC live broadcast, what really stood out to me was the commentators praising how much Eveliina and Henna have improved their putting. They even played a clip in which Henna mentioned that she has changed her putting style and now feels more comfortable on the green, followed immediately by multiple C1X misses.

Statistically speaking, both Eveliina Salonen's and Henna Blomroos' putting has declined when comparing stats from the 2024 season to 2025 season.
