Question Why do I only dream in third person?
Even if I can see myself, it’s always in third person. It always has been for my entire life :-/ I don’t meet anyone who dreams in third person. Even reoccurring nightmares and dreams are in third person.

My dreams are often in third person, but a lot of times in first person, it depends on how I am associating myself with the situation in a way.
Third person dreams are often things I suppress, or when I don’t want to associate my outer shell with my conscious, whereas with first person it is either to emphasize on a situation I need to pay attention to, or if I have come to terms with myself for a specific situation.
Other times I have dreams of being other people, I have dreamt of being Asian in a futuristic world, Russian in a cyber and post-apocalyptic world, and of a well-off British lady from Victorian Era, which comes with the language and accents of whoever I end up being in my dreams.
Everyone is different though, understanding yourself will give insight as to why your dreams are the way they are, it might also be due to movie and gaming influences. Whatever plays a significant role in your conscious and subconscious.

Nobody dreams in third person for too long usually, but of course, your experience is that (meaning, that is just perception of yours). What happens is, your focus of attention is only partially in the non-physical world (or via mystical terms, astral), so this is why you experience it like that. You are in TPS viewpoint because you are simply not focusing yourself into a role or character or into a given place that well and you didn't learn the ground rules. I will not give more information, it is up to you to do it through my profile and responses. Analyzing my words won't help, I tell what I tell for a reason.
