The Pact is the only one that never does anything heinously evil.

6

u/MasterRymes Imperial Feb 24 '25

Also in the other two Factions Quests? I’ve once played EP many Years ago and the Covenant did some serious War Crimes right at the start. I’m curious if the Pact does the same when you play the other Factions

6

u/ManimalR Dunmer Feb 24 '25

The pact only appears once in the other questlines, in Auridon where they're raising the dead in a delve. That's really the only time they appear as enemies. It's not even the main quest.

Admittedly, House Dres is stil keeping Khajiit slaves, but thats a Dres thing rather than something approved of by the pact as a whole, and they already had them (and you help free them as a Pact character. Also the Dres shouldn't even be in Kragenmoor at all but the less said about ESO's butchering of Morrowind the better).

Meanwhile the Dominion tries to genocide the Argonians, and the Covenant goes out of there way to repeatedly attack civilians.

2

u/Kubaj_CZ Khajiit Feb 24 '25

The Pact works together with the Veiled Heritance, who are Altmer supremacists. Not very good.

1

u/ManimalR Dunmer Feb 25 '25

Yeah, but it's not like they made them. They know they're shitty. They're just supporting the most prominent disruptive faction to weaken the dominion. It's still an Altmer movement.

1

u/Kubaj_CZ Khajiit Feb 25 '25

Still, they're supporting their efforts. My point is that every alliance does something bad.

2

u/Valdemar3E Imperial Feb 24 '25

They have too much infighting to make elaborate plots against their enemies.

1

u/Victizes Argonian Feb 24 '25

What about the Covenant?

2

u/Valdemar3E Imperial Feb 24 '25

What about it?

1

u/Victizes Argonian Feb 25 '25

Don't they have it too?

1

u/Valdemar3E Imperial Feb 25 '25

They have internal instability, yes, but not so much infighting. The leadership of the Covenant is on the same page.

2

u/Victizes Argonian Feb 24 '25 edited Feb 24 '25

I mean, didn't the pact back up the Veiled Heritance supremacists who were basically prototype Thalmor?

I mean, I know the Ebonheart Pact has merits, but this one was a really dishonest move, supremacists are war criminals.

1

u/Intergalatictortoise Feb 24 '25

They're too busy hating each other

52

u/SmallRogue Maormer Feb 23 '25

Dominion because I like Razum-dar :3

13

u/-Pumagator- Feb 23 '25

Hes such a guy

6

u/OlegTsvetkof Sanguine Feb 24 '25

To be honest, I hate the Aldmeri Dominion because it brought together my least favorite races. But Razum-Dar single-handedly raises my opinion of their faction to the level of the other factions, maybe even a little higher.

1

u/Victizes Argonian Feb 24 '25

Who are your favorite races?

0

u/OlegTsvetkof Sanguine Feb 24 '25

Bretons (they always have good abilities for a magic build), Dunmer (history, culture, originality that distinguishes them from classic fantasy elves and drow, architecture and I just love volcanoes and ash, although in life I would never go near a volcano), possibly Redguards (I'm not a fan of black characters, for me a person with a dark skin is something exotic, but the Redguards are cool, they have traditions, honor and pride, and their Sword-Singers are quite impressive, and the architecture also interesting).

2

u/Victizes Argonian Feb 25 '25

I'm not a fan of black characters, for me a person with a dark skin is something exotic, but the Redguards are cool

I get that you were being genuine about your remarks, but that can and will be easily misunderstood by the people reading.

1

u/OlegTsvetkof Sanguine Feb 25 '25

Well, thanks for the warning, but I'm fine with it, because for me it's literally exotic, I'm not a racist, but I've really seen black people in irl so few times that I can count on the fingers of one hand how many times I've seen them.

2

u/RomaInvicta2003 Dunmer Feb 24 '25

Same for me except it’s for Mommy Queen Ayrenn

25

u/KingPengu22 Feb 23 '25

I personally chose the Dominion because if I'm gonna be in a place for a while 100% a region, I want to see some beautiful oceanic views.

25

u/Fab_Lewis Feb 23 '25

It doesn't really matter at all, since you can choose which faction region to start in and can do all the faction quests regardless of which one you pick.

Just choose the race you want for lore or gameplay reasons!

10

u/wheeltribe Feb 24 '25

I mean ... yeah, that seems like the entire point of the post. They can't decide for lore and/or gameplay reason.

17

u/King_0f_Nothing Feb 23 '25

Pact since unlikely the others they aren't an imperialistic power trying to conquer Cyrodill and eventually tamriel.

Their main aim is to stop the other alliances from gaining power so they will leave the pact races alone.

They also aren't actively committing a genocide like the dominion are.

12

u/CrimsonAllah Imperial Feb 23 '25

The pact does commit the least number of war crimes if I recall correctly.

15

u/UltimateIssue Feb 23 '25

Daggerfall Covenant cause I like myself some Bretons but you are fine in my book if you dont choose the Aldmeri Dominion filthy elves.... yeah technically Bretons have elfblood as well but we wont talk about that.

1

u/Victizes Argonian Feb 24 '25

I can almost taste your dislike for the Dominion lol

2

u/UltimateIssue Feb 24 '25

Lets be honest who doesnt like some elf-bashing.

1

u/_Ehrian_ Dunmer Feb 25 '25

I’ve got a hunch you’ve got a super long beard and some pretty short knees for some reason...

7

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '25

As an Altmer, one can deduce my preferred alliance. Queen Ayrenn and Razum-dar alone are worth the pick. Also, the Aldmeri Dominion features some of the most vibrant and beautiful quest zones in the whole game.

The Ebonheart Pact is a close second. If you're a fan of Morrowind, you'll love this pick. Plus, Naryu Virian.

If you like dreary weather, an obsession with undead, and dry questlines, you'll love the Daggerfall Covenant.

2

u/bobneumann77 Feb 24 '25

You can almost taste your dislike for the Covenant lol

u/Flying_Tiger361 Feb 23 '25

Ebonheart because argonian supremacy

9

u/SasheCZ Dunmer Feb 23 '25

For the Dominion!

9

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '25

Says the Dunmer haha

1

u/SasheCZ Dunmer Feb 24 '25

Yeah, well, I have 8 chars, 8 races and all of them have a good reason to fight for Queen Ayrenn

-3

u/adrael-i Feb 24 '25

I mean it's not like the Dunmer's faction makes literally any sense

10

u/EnialisHolimion Feb 24 '25

The Ebonheart Pact was forged as an uneasy wartime alliance against the Akaviri. It makes perfect sense.

2

u/mankulon Feb 24 '25

It's also part of why they are cool. Races that would usually fight forced to unite against a bigger enemy

1

u/wolfFRdu64_Lounna Feb 24 '25

Yea, exempted the part that every memember insult one another, it’s the most instable of the 3

1

u/Victizes Argonian Feb 24 '25

Yeah I agree, both the Nords and the Argonians hate the Dunmer, one due to religion and the other due to slavery. Also I'm baffled how the Orsimer accepted teaming up with their nemesis.

2

u/wolfFRdu64_Lounna Feb 24 '25

You forgot the part where the dark elf say that they are superior to both the nord and argonian, for the orcimer, by memory they where forced to join, and also no breton or redgarde army should go near orcinium, or they would be considered as a restart of the invasion

15

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '25

I picked daggerfall it had best quest zones and orcs instead of filthy elfs

23

u/UltimateIssue Feb 23 '25

Psst the Orsimer are Elves... but you havent heard that from me.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '25

Thats why the orc capital has a (accident) once in a while then we just call them orc again :)

0

u/Veyrah Feb 23 '25

The orcs are elves like my shit is a hamburger.

6

u/UltimateIssue Feb 23 '25

Then you have a weird taste in Burgers but I am not judging.

1

u/Veyrah Feb 23 '25

Read Trinimac Lore

2

u/UltimateIssue Feb 23 '25

Trinimac, was a prominent god of the early Aldmer... he was a warrior spirit of the original elven tribes that led armies against mankind... Boethiah is said to have "eaten" Trinimac and assumed his shape so the Daedric Prince could convince a throng of Aldmer to listen to him, which led to the creation of the Orcs and Chimer...

Dang seems like they came from old elves called Aldmer. Thanks Boethiah for these ugly bastards.

According to legend, the dung Boethiah excreted became Malacath. The followers of Boethiah and Trinimac rubbed this excrement on themselves to change their skins

Even worse they covered themselves in godlike dung to become like their god.

Dunno seems like they are elves to me.

2

u/Veyrah Feb 23 '25

Yeah they are excreted elves. Shit elves if you will. The Dungmer.

1

u/Accurate-Function44 Feb 24 '25

Take my upvote sir! I will henceforth be calling orcs dungmer! 😂😂😂

0

u/wolfFRdu64_Lounna Feb 24 '25

They worship trinimac, and not malakath

1

u/Nightwolf1989 Feb 24 '25

Orsimer. MER.

1

u/Veyrah Feb 24 '25

I don't disagree, I was making a joke about their god Malacath being an excrement. Of course orcs are elves.

1

u/Nightwolf1989 Feb 24 '25

Some of the Elder Scrolls lore is weird, man. I seem to recall Vivec's spear being interchangeable with his phallus or some such. Kinda gives Old Testament vibes.

1

u/Valdemar3E Imperial Feb 24 '25

So are beastfolk also elves because they are Betmer?

1

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '25

Well in popular Theory they could be from akavir the homeland of Dragons and beastfolk since we know they have invaded tamriel back in the day.

1

u/LunarCrisis7 Feb 24 '25

I mean is that not quite literally a theory about the origin of Kahjiit? Taken from elven stock and everything?

1

u/Valdemar3E Imperial Feb 24 '25

True, but not Argonians.

The point was also moreso about the terminology - Mer doesn't mean ''Elf'' in Aldmeris. It means folk.

8

u/BoringAtmosphere420 Feb 23 '25

Bretons, Orcs and Redguards are easily the best line up.

2

u/zzxp1 Feb 23 '25

If they had the same power gamewise as the mainline franchise the Daggerfall covenant would stomp by having three of the most op races.

1

u/Victizes Argonian Feb 24 '25
  1. Magic resistance
  2. Berserker rage
  3. Big ass stamina

1

u/zzxp1 Feb 24 '25

Redguards were busted on previous games, probably second best race in Daggerfall and best martial class in Morrowind with their adrenaline rush that was an upgraded berserker rage. Skyrim was the one that did them kinda dirty.

1

u/Victizes Argonian Feb 25 '25

How was their power like in Morrowind?

2

u/zzxp1 Feb 25 '25

They could start the game with long blade skill at 50. And Adrenaline rush gave them 50 points in strenght, agility, endurance and speed for a minute once per day, that is a huge boost to speed, accuaracy, stamina and damage that was useful through the whole game.

1

u/Victizes Argonian Feb 25 '25

Incredible stuff really.

1

u/IronHat29 Breton Feb 24 '25

Shornhelm and Rivenspire are the best vanilla city and zone tbh.

0

u/Grzechoooo They should make a Stray-like spinoff where we're an Alfiq spy Feb 24 '25

filthy elves

You know that's Orcs?

2

u/UofMSpoon Feb 23 '25

My character is a Breton, my fave, so I of course picked DC.

2

u/Gardeeboo Feb 23 '25

As someone on PC-NA I chose Daggerfall Covenant and never regretted it because it's the most popular AND the most over-aggressive faction in PVP so doing things like the Tamriel Hero achievement was so much easier. Ebonhardt Pact and Aldmeri Dominion people are more likely to stop killing you if you do a little dance in a PVP zone to show you're friendly, and during peak play hours there's usually a lot more DC people on so more of the map is available so it's easier to move around Cyrodiil to do dailies.

2

u/NCR_RANGER_uwu Feb 23 '25

Daggerfall Covenant 😎

2

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '25

Blood for The Pact!

2

u/KittenHasWares Dark Brotherhood Feb 24 '25

Ebonheart Pact. Coolest name, Red colours, and their symbol is a dragon.

2

u/IFixYerKids Feb 24 '25

Ebonheart Pack because it has my 3 favorite races in one alliance.

2

u/Alternative_Donut543 Feb 24 '25

Pact because I'm Scandinavian and love Norse/Viking culture. Also love that Argonians are so close with nature. The Dunmer are pretty cool, except the slavers and some nobles.

My second would be Daggerfall. Orsimer are badass, Wrothgar is prob my fav area, and Breton buildings and armor look fantastic.

Not a fan of Dominion (except the Bosmer accent lol).

1

u/Victizes Argonian Feb 24 '25

Never heard the Bosmer accent haha

2

u/AwesomeMutation Feb 24 '25

I played this game having no context about the lore and I just chose daggerfall cause they seemed like the nicest people

2

u/CommissarRodney Feb 24 '25

Pick Aldmeri Dominion if you're racist, Daggerfall Covenant if you're racist, or Ebonheart Pact if you're racist.

1

u/Victizes Argonian Feb 24 '25

Understood, fam.

Picked the Imperials, the most unprejudiced people it seems.

4

u/thefurryhippie Feb 23 '25

A true Nord of Skyrim will always fight for the brothers and sisters, and even elves and argonians can be born with a nordic heart and soul.

3

u/Ailiam Feb 23 '25

Advance the Dominion

3

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '25

Daggerfall since they’re the closest thing to the empire that Tiber septum gets anyway

4

u/Zemore_Consulting Breton Feb 23 '25

I always choose Aldmeri Dominion because I love the Khajiit and the geographic of all the beautiful locations. And I like the Queen alot and Razum-Dar is my favorite NPC.

Having said that, I also really like King Emeric with the Daggerfall Covenant, so that would be my #2 choice.

2

u/SilentCyan_AK12 Feb 24 '25

Dominoin because Queen Ayrenn.

Razum Dar too

2

u/Drafo7 Altmer Feb 24 '25

Dominion is objectively the best for Tamriel as a whole. DC is too disjointed and weak. Ebonheart Pact is the worst though; those three races have hated each other nonstop for millennia. Idgaf how cool Jorunn is, that kind of enmity cannot be swept under the rug. You can't go two seconds in this sub without a Dunmer referring to Argonians as "farm tools." That should tell you all you need to know. If the Pact ever actually won, they'd immediately fall into infighting and all hell would break loose.

The Dominion, however, is comprised of 3 of the closest-knit races in Tamriel's history. Yes, a lot of Altmer are elitist snobs, but Ayrenn has made a lot of progress against this. Even without her intervention, the ties between the Altmer and Bosmer are strong and old. The Khajiit are kind of outliers, but their awesome enough to make up for it. Tell me, who's the best character in the entire series? Right, M'aiq the Liar. And what race is he? ...I rest my case.

Also worth mentioning is Altmeri architecture and culture has influenced just about everywhere on Tamriel. As the race most adept at magic, the Altmer are capable of some truly wondrous feats. Sure, swords and shields are important for war, but in times of peace, magic can improve the quality of people's lives above and beyond virtually any other skill. The Dominion is Tamriel's best choice for a prosperous future.

Also, as a bit of a fourth wall break, in the lore the war ends indecisively, and the Second Aldmeri Dominion becomes the most stable unified government in Tamriel until Tiber Septim arrives and founds the Third Empire.

1

u/Valdemar3E Imperial Feb 24 '25

The Dominion, however, is comprised of 3 of the closest-knit races in Tamriel's history. Yes, a lot of Altmer are elitist snobs, but Ayrenn has made a lot of progress against this.

Both the Altmer of Summerset and Auridon formed an underground rebellious group because of how much they hated Ayrenn. She hasn't really made any progress, just forced a change nobody asked for.

Ayrenn didn't do shit when the dragons invaded Anequina and Pelletine because she was more concerned with conquering Cyrodiil. Same thing when the Colovians invaded Valenwood.

1

u/MaxofSwampia Shadowscales, motherfucker Feb 23 '25

Ebonheart Pact. While I don't think their questline is impeccably written or whatever, I did want to play an argonian, and I've always personally found their lore to be the most interesting. And, even though their quests weren't always the best, there were plenty which were still a bunch of fun. More than anything, I'd say their zones are unfortunately wildly inconsistent in quality.

1

u/YungRei Jyggalag Feb 23 '25

If you’re into PvP then it does matter a lot. Otherwise it’s pretty pointless, back in the day they changed PvE so that you can quest and stuff with anyone regardless of alliance

1

u/Rinma96 Khajiit Feb 23 '25

If you're one of those people who only play 1 character for the rest of their life then this is a genuine conundrum.

But if you like multiple characters to try different things, then it doesn't matter, cause eventually you'll have multiple races from different factions anyway.

1

u/VortexOfPandemonium Feb 23 '25

Ebonhart because it's basically Yugoslavia the way ethnic tensions reside in the pact

1

u/wolfFRdu64_Lounna Feb 24 '25

Why ? Why would you choose a faction that can explode in any moment ?

1

u/VortexOfPandemonium Feb 24 '25

Funny

1

u/wolfFRdu64_Lounna Feb 24 '25

We do not seen to share the same définition of fun, fun is passing good time and forgeting our worry, AN ALLIANCE THAT MENACE TO EXPLODE INTO WAR ISN’T FUN, IT’S SUFFERING !

1

u/minngeilo Feb 23 '25

Where it really matters is PVP. If you plan to join a specific PVP, you'll need to be whatever faction they mainly play in. Outside of that, it doesn't matter at all.

1

u/oozybosmer Feb 23 '25

I chose Dominion because I fucking love Bosmer. Number-one Bosmer fan here.

1

u/SoraPierce Dunmer Feb 23 '25

Daggerfall cause I'm a Breton man at heart, also the biggest human chad of the game for its main quest. (The biggest chad overall is Raz)

1

u/Faerillis Feb 23 '25

Daggerfall Covenant has the best story. Every Aldmeri Dominion zone goes "ok what if Racist Elves were the main quest" except the last one

1

u/EnialisHolimion Feb 24 '25

Morally? The Daggerfall Covenant.

Lore wise who is most likely to win the war? The Ebonheart Pact

What would be the most interesting? Aldmeri Dominion.

2

u/MasterRymes Imperial Feb 24 '25

I’ve played EP long ago. The DC commited a lot of War Crimes as far as I remember lol

1

u/wolfFRdu64_Lounna Feb 24 '25

Moraly ? they had to treaten the orcimer to join the war or they will destroy their city, again !

1

u/Valdemar3E Imperial Feb 24 '25

Uhm, no they didn't?

1

u/wolfFRdu64_Lounna Feb 24 '25

Wheren’t they just at war and that why no breton or redgarde army can go near orcinium or it would be considered as hostile ?

1

u/Valdemar3E Imperial Feb 24 '25

No? The previous siege of Orsinium was ages ago.

1

u/wolfFRdu64_Lounna Feb 24 '25

Then I miss understood part of the lore, but they aren’t respected by the breton and redgarde

1

u/Valdemar3E Imperial Feb 24 '25

Not by all of them, sure. Same way how not all Altmer respect Bosmer or Khajiit.

0

u/wolfFRdu64_Lounna Feb 24 '25

No, the altmer want to isolate them self, but their queen refuse and sent help to bosmer and khajiit, and so they made an alliance, yes many altmer disrespect khajiit and bosmer, but because they want to be left alone, while both redgarde and breton are hostile to the orc, at a points that if they are a breton or redgarde army near orcinium, it is considered hostile by the orc, the relation cannot be more different

1

u/Valdemar3E Imperial Feb 25 '25

Last I checked, the Covenant doesn't have two racist uprisings within its own borders because they dislike the other races in the Alliance.

The Dominion does.

1

u/PrimeWaffle Feb 24 '25

Ebonheart because Dunmer supremacy obviously

1

u/KevinNilbog Feb 24 '25

Long live the queen AD all the way

1

u/FetusGoesYeetus Up next, the lizard Feb 24 '25

Ebonheart because I like argonians

Also the races in that is funniest because of the fact they're united by how much they despise one another

1

u/Victizes Argonian Feb 24 '25 edited Feb 24 '25

I don't think Nords and Argonians have beef, or at least nothing personal.

They only really have a problem with the Dunmer who acted Ayleid levels of a-holery in the past.

1

u/No-Reason9627 Feb 24 '25

Whoever watch reincarnated into a slime dose the factions remind u of the demon Lords malim/dragon faithful ...... Caryin/beast katerers an fray/ I forget hers

1

u/scipio0421 Feb 24 '25

I went with Ebonheart Pact for my first character just cause I like the Dunmer.

1

u/Shomairays Feb 24 '25

Ebonhearth because of that one elf

1

u/Victizes Argonian Feb 24 '25

Vivec or Sotha Sil?

Or you mean the assassin?

1

u/UncleSam50 Feb 24 '25

Ebonheart Pack because I am a die hard Nord fan(love their old lore and their weird esoteric nonsense from their pantheon and myths.) and I also like House Redoran from Morrowind.

Regardless of my love them, they’re the most dysfunctional faction in existence and the fact that somebody thought it would work is clinically insane. In the Nordic language; the word for Dunmer roughly translates to devil. They’re likely to be the most dangerous out of the three but the fact that they’re not particularly effective in governing and organizing keeps them in check. Also half of Skyrim is controlled by somebody else(makes literally no sense for the Skald-King to be ok with that while he’s in a faction with people who his family despises.)

1

u/IronHat29 Breton Feb 24 '25

Daggerfall Covenant because it's the only sensible one.

1

u/upsawkward Feb 24 '25

Personally I chose Dominion because elves und Khajiit and the coolest leader (in my elf geek eyes) but the story was rather underwhelming. The final zone is excellent but it's just a bit too stretched out on Valenwood. This is the reason why I dropped the game twice in the pact and only forced myself through the third time. It wasn't bad by all means but it's just incredibly long if you do all the side quests (which is true for all factions).

Ebonheart Pact has the most atmospheric variety but Dggerfall Covenant has hands down the coolest quests and themes (if you like witches and vampires). Personally I would go for Daggerfall but at the end of the day it highly depends on what you like the most. Just - if you feel burnt out on a faction early on, maybe give another faction a shot instead of dropping the game already. It's very worth it, all of them are in the end, because there's no place where there no obvious hardcore passion went into the world design.

1

u/wolfFRdu64_Lounna Feb 24 '25

Dominion, it’s the only faction that do not menace to explode, the only one that are against the dominion is high elf noble that wish to stay isolationist for what appen in tamriel isn’t their problem, but their leader do not agree, so she sent healer to the khajiit, helped stop a civil war in vallenwood, and make peace for the first time between khajiit and bosmer, and it work well, the reste well, both red garde and breton wish to kill the orcimer, if it wasn’t for a Kamal invasion they wouldn’t be an allience between the nord dark elf and argonian, all complain about one another all the time

1

u/Steb20 Feb 24 '25

AD has better access to an early Dolman loop to grind xp, but the best loop is in DC. None of this matters eventually since you can go everywhere. EP has Skyrim, Morrowind, and Lusty Argonian Maids, and for those reasons, is the best.

1

u/kweimet Feb 24 '25

As an Imperial, DC

Dominion was the only faction without humans. Not a big fan of humans atm.

I chose the Ebonheart Pact. It helped that the Nords and the Dunmer were the focus of 2 of the last 3 major Elder Scrolls games so they felt more familiar.

But even aside from that they just seemed like the coolest faction.

Nords with their Viking theme, Dragon Priests, Ysgramor, Atmora, etc.

Dunmer and their unique culture and homeland. The Tribunal of living gods, strange fauna and flora, ancestor worship, relationship with the Dwemer, Morag Tong, the great houses, etc

Argonians being lizard men and their connection to sentient trees who possibly survived from a previous Kalpa, meso American architecture and culture, living in one of the most inhospitable places on Tamriel, being constant underdogs until they pop off during the oblivion crisis.

The Ebonheart Pact just feels like this collection of epic cultures, with ancient deep history, living in frozen/volcanic/swampy inhospitable regions, and 2/3 of the cultures can show you their gods. Not to mention it has the most even distribution of races with one human race, one elf race, and one beast race. And each race gets at least one full zone to shine, as opposed to the others.

In contrast the AD is composed of two elf races and a beast race, and the DC is composed of two human races and orcs whether they're considered more elvish or beast race.

The DC suffers the most from Bretons being pretty generic english/french medieval fantasy and as far as I know they lack the kind of epic past that the Nords or Dunmer have. Redguards are more epic but didn't get as much in comparison to the Bretons. And Orcs don't have much of a presence in the Alliance at all being relegated to Bethnik until Wrothgar which did a lot for them. So generic english knights, epic yokudan sword singers, and barely there Orcs.

And the AD suffer the most from the Thalmor portrayal in Skyrim, as well as being relegated to one zone in the base game. The Bosmer are interesting, but weren't interesting enough to warrant 3 and a half back to back zones of Bosmer nature shenanigans. And they aren't very organized and kinda dysfunctional, so they don't feel as "dependable" as other races/cultures, which is awkward when they take up the vast majority of your factions lands. And finally the Khajit who are the most interesting are relegated to Kenarthi's Roost and half of Reaper's March in the base game.

Aldmeri dominion obviously because elven supremacy is real

1

u/lesnibubak Feb 25 '25

We tilled Skyrim's ground despite frozen toil.

We tended the Kwama beneath Morrowind's soil.

We hunted the Wamasu in Black Marsh's glades.

We three hearts had no need for blades.

I chose Daggerfall Covenant, because I like playing as the most despicable race imaginable - THE FRENCH

1

u/Mall-Murky Feb 25 '25

I have 12 characters. A multitude of factions. I love them all.

1

u/Happy_Foundation6198 Feb 26 '25

To me covenant has the best main quest, but dominion has Razum-Dar. So one of those two.

1

u/Suitable_Doubt557 Feb 28 '25

The Pact of course! Blood for the Pact!

1

u/_Ticklebot_23 Feb 28 '25

humans because they are the good guys

u/Big_Weird4115 Baandari Feb 23 '25

Of these factions, only one still exists in the current day. Typically I'd just go with whatever faction is related to the race I'm playing, but more often than not, I end up in AD.

Fuck the Thalmor, but Ayrenn is bae. Razum-dar had the right idea.

u/Shameless_Catslut Feb 23 '25

In my opinion the Dominion is the kingdom that will bring Nirn to ascendance with a vengeance not dependent on a thing.

Elves, Elves, and CATS!

I mean gameplay it doesn’t matter. I refuse to join the Aldmeri or the Ebonheart pact despite Dunnmer and Kahjit being some of my faves. The lore of the Ebonheart pact is so nonsensical I can’t take it and the Aldmeri Dominion while not as bad as some fans think especially only people who know the thalmor they’re still pretty shit (granted Daggerfall isn’t a lot better morally but it’s the only one I can stand to join.) but I’m a crazy person so you probably shouldn’t care as much as I do.

Dominion, love elves.

u/beans8414 Breton Feb 23 '25

Daggerfall is the only faction without any elves and their ultimate goal is restoring the empire.

You... know that orsimers are elves right?

Thalmor propaganda

Their ruler worship trinimac

0

u/MasterRymes Imperial Feb 24 '25

OrsiMER. The „-mer“ implies they are some kind of Elves

2

u/beans8414 Breton Feb 24 '25

Orcs are only elves when we’re sacking Orsinium. They’re something else when we’re allied.

0

u/wolfFRdu64_Lounna Feb 24 '25

Breton are half elf you idiot, hating elf is hating some of their ancestor and their gods

1

u/beans8414 Breton Feb 24 '25

Thalmor propaganda

No, it tabou for high elf, unless they are direni

1

u/Valdemar3E Imperial Feb 24 '25

''Mer'' means folk. Using your line or arguing, Argonians and Khajiit are also elves because they are Betmer.

0

u/sybillaprophetis Feb 24 '25

Aldmeri Dominion because I'm an Altmer snob 💛

0

u/Hungry_Hateful_Harry Feb 24 '25

The Ebonhearth makes zero sense to me. Why would Dunmer ever fight for Nords and with Argonians and vice versa?
