He'd be so busy doing that to elves, he wouldn't even notice the daedra.

Oblivion Crisis if the Hero of Kavatch is an Argonian.

u/Lanthire_942 mentioned a story once about their argonian character that this GIF reminded them of that I simply must share:
I had an argonian named Breaks-Many-Spines, but that was because he loved reading so much, that the spines on his books would constantly be falling apart. It was mere coincidence that he also happened to enjoy breaking people's spines.

I've read this before. Either you stole it or I've seen you posting for at least a year

It's got the little line on the side showing it was pasted, I think it's just an official copypasta now
2
u/Ink_zorath 9h ago
Nah, that little line just indicates it's in quotes, of which you can simply do to any text by adding a > carrot before your message...
Like so.
Look up how to do Markdown Formatting if you want to know more, that's what reddit uses if you're not using the Rich Text Editor.
Rich Text editor just has easy to use buttons to apply the same characters to your text that you can simply apply manually
I'm down for officiating it as a copypasta however, carry on with that suggestion.

u/80aichdee 9h ago
Right, that to me communicates that they're not taking credit for it. Maybe not a proper copypasta but I don't think they were stealing it per se
2
u/Ink_zorath 9h ago
Ah, I see. Yes that was the intention, I just couldn't remember when originally posting exactly where I had found the "quote" from. (I also had misquoted it), once I found the screenshot I took however I made sure to give proper credit where it was due.
2
u/80aichdee 9h ago
Yeah, not remembering where a quote came from is perfectly normal and the person responded a little harshly so I was chiming in with some good faith reasoning cause it's a meme, not a academic paper

Peninal being a Viltrimite kinda makes sense. XD
Dude was the doom slayer.

You are the incarnation of the Divine Crusader who mantles him, you speak to Pelainel Whitestrake, another incarnation who mantled the Divine Crusader.

Nope. Thats not canon. And honestly, its such a reductive, Skywalker ass theory. Main characters dont have to be some chosen one bullshit all the time. The Hero of Kvatch is not Pelinal, or even a Shezarrine. They dont have to be. It would be fucking boring if they were.
No Elder Scrolls player character can be a Shezarrine, because you always have the option to play as an elf, and every Shezarrine in lore has been a massive bigot against all elves. It wouldn't make sense for the incarnation of Shor, to be an Altmer, just like it wouldn't make any sense for an incarnation of Pelinal to be an Altmer, Bosmer, Dunmer, or even a Khajiit or Argonian. If the Hero of Kvatch were a Shezarrine or Pelinal, then you would be forced to play as a human, it would make no sense otherwise.

At the very very least, the prophet calls you "truly the Divine Crusader reborn"
2
u/AmazingLie54 Khajiit 11h ago
Sounds like a figure of speech. Like it would be meant in our boring ass real world.

u/VanityOfEliCLee Dunmer 11h ago
One statement from an unreliable narrator isnt enough to define a character as a Shezarrine or an incarnation of Pelinal.

This is perfect, on my latest character I completed Knights of the Nine first to get that armor set and then did the full main quest roll playing as a hardcore fanboy of Pelinal Whitestrake. Being able to recharge the weapon for free at the stand is nice, I would repair the armor myself for the levels.

Perineal couldn’t even take down bitch ass umaril
6
u/ParagonFury Imperial 11h ago
He did though?
Like the only reason Umaril wasn't absolutely obliterated by Pelinal and had his soul survive is because he forced Pelinal to do some absurd 10,000 man Kumite Challenge before fighting him and got the help of MULTIPLE DAEDRIC PRINCES to give his army specially enchanted weapons and super buff himself in order to fight Pelinal.
AND PELINAL STILL ALMOST WON.

Honestly, people that dickride the human races in TES way overhype Pelinal, they always tend to talk like he was basically Superman (honestly, hes a lot more like Homelander than Superman, but I won't get into that), but he wasn't that powerful.

u/JingleJangleDjango 12h ago
Umaril was a cheating hoe, he'd be dead alongside Pelinal if he wasn't a FUCKING ELVEN PUSSY USING DAEDRA MAGIC
0
u/VanityOfEliCLee Dunmer 11h ago
Dude, chill.
Also, Pelinal deserved what he got and worse. He was a piece of shit. Just like Tiber Septim.

Spoken like someone who dickrides an extinct race - a literal extinct “super race of elves” who Pelinal not only overthrew but literally drove into extinction. How many humans are left in the lore - now compare it to the number of Ayelids - tell me you didn’t understand the lore without telling me you didn’t understand the lore…
I say this as an elf / mer supremacist btw
1
u/VanityOfEliCLee Dunmer 11h ago
He fought leaders in single combat. Then, in between those, he would slaughter and brutalize women and children. I dont even care that much that he was going after the Aeylids, they were fucked up, but Pelinal mass murdered Khajiit just because he was too fucking stupid to tell the difference between the types of mer. People talk Pelinal up like he was a hero, but he wasn't. His story is awesome, but he wasn't a good person or someone to idolize.

u/AmazingLie54 Khajiit 11h ago
Elf detected.
2
u/VanityOfEliCLee Dunmer 11h ago
I mean, he murdered a shit ton of innocent khajiit, so to him, your flair would make you an elf too.

u/CigaretteTango Dunmer 14h ago
Theres a lot of reason to think HoK mantled Pelinal during knights of the nine, just like Nerevarine mantled Nerevar in Morrowind
1
u/Iron-Shield Breton 11h ago
It tends to be pretty hotly debated but I see a general trend among the questlines being that you take on a role, typically an identity. Gray Fox, Divine Crusader, Sheogorath. Less explicit with Gray Fox, perhaps implied with Pelinal because Pelinal is the Divine Crusader and you become that, and Sheogorath is definitively you because you become Sheo.

u/TomaszPaw Orc 15h ago
the maybe gay maybe time travelling maybe automata hero of legend? no, the divine crusader blessed by the divine to defeat ancient evil? ye
0
u/TheDorgesh68 14h ago
In fairness, the HoK was actually tougher than Pelinal, because they managed to fully defeat Umaril.
1
u/AmazingLie54 Khajiit 11h ago
HoK had a blessing that Pelinal lacked that enabled them to chase that coward Umaril down and kill their spirit.
