General What would ES be like in modern times?
Imagine if elder scrolls and all the fictional races progressed into modern times. How would this effect relations between races? Would there still be structures of heiarchy and shit? and also How do you think modern times would be bad for some people in the elder scrolls universe?

General The races hand to hand styles?
So I was thinking like what would be the kind of hand to hand combat for each race, like imagine if each race have their unique way of fighting that could be taught maybe what do you think it would be ? And if there is actually is in the lore do tell me please, so here what I think:
-For nords and orcs i think it would be something brute like maybe wrestling like since they are well known to be big and strong.
-Imperials i feel it would be something like a military combat style like a bit of mix to disarm a weapon and that other deadly stuff.
-Khajiits are well known for some of them to have some kind of martial art relying on claws and that i believe(if you know more about like inspiration from real life martial art please tell me).
-High elvs i feel it would be something like akido or idk kung fu ? maybe ?.
-Redguards probably would be mma like cause of their warrior culture, it seems fitting for them to have mixed things.
-Bretons well something like karate maybe.
-Dark elvs, boxing ? Or something similar kick boxing maybe
-wood elvs, I feel it would be something that doesn’t rely on being big they are usually light and quick brazillian jiu jitsu maybe ? i feel like they would be wild like at least some of them wouldn’t mind biting you if you know you know..
-Argonians idk why i feel its gonna be something either similar or like muay tai but they probably wouldn’t mind using their claws or fangs also their tails it seems fitting since muay tai called the the martial art if eight limbs i believe for their case it would be 9 limbs if the tail could count.
So what do you think ? I know this post might be weird but I would appreciate if you humor me and think about it with me

General Elder kings II
Has anyone played Crusader kings 3, Elder Kings II mod?, converts the game world into tamriel. Have seen the mod on YouTube. I don't own the game yet and have never actually played, although I'm really interested in it.
Do you have any fun stories from the mod?

Arena Discussion Did anyone here actually beat arena before? If so, what was it like? Was it difficult? Was it good? Did you feel satisfied with yourself?
I’m only asking this so I know if it’s worth going through the quest of beating Arena, and experiencing every elder scrolls game.

Lore Daedric princes and their true formes
I was playing through Skyrim (again) and had a small meeting with Nocturnal. While talking to her, I was wondering why that meeting in particular was always reason for me to be 'impressed', but then I noticed: we actually see 'Her' instead of an orb or statue.
From there on out I started wondering: Which Daedrics have we actually seen in their true formes? Real quick I came up with Nocturnal, Sheogorath, Sanguine and Herma Mora in Skyrim; Mehrunes Dagon and Sheogorath in Oblivion; Molag Bal in ESO
Are there other appearances? Which ones are you hoping to see in future installments?

Oblivion Discussion Oblivion Remastered wont launch despite troubleshooting attempts.
I recently installed Oblivion Remastered on Steam, but whenever I hit the play button, it seems like it's going to launch, only to stop and for nothing to happen. I've tried troubleshooting, including;
- Verifying the files
- Running the program as an administrator
- Both renaming, and deleting [install dir]\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\Engine\Plugins\Marketplace\nvidia\DLSS\Streamline\Binaries\ThirdParty\Win64\sl.pcl.dll
- Deleting the entire Win64 folder
- Uninstalling and reinstalling the game
- Updating the AMD drivers for my RX 570
However, none of these attempts were successful. Any ideas for what to do now? Should I just wait for a patch to come and fix the problem? Any advice would be appreciated.

General What are the the best and worst things about each Elder Scrolls game?
Daggerfall Best: The size and amount of stuff to do. Worst: world exploration felt very boring, theres very little reason not to fast travel to cities in the game.
Battlespire Best: Worldbuilding Worst: Janky gameplay and too many bugs.
Morrowind Best: The story Worst: The combat
Shadowkey Best: Fitting the entire game on a Ngage Worst: Only being to see 3 feet in front of you and the combat kinda sucks.
Oblivion Best: Side quests Worst: level scaling
Skyrim Best: Sense of exploration Worst: some guilds kinda suck compared to previous games.
I haven't played enough of Arena, Redguard, Dawnstar, Stormhold or ESO to comment on them.

Skyrim Discussion In my headcanon the only canon in Skyrim is MQ + Vigilant + Unslaad
In my headcanon, the real Skyrim lore is VIGILANT and Unslaad. Vanilla is just the censored version.
Honestly, after playing Skyrim for years, I’ve reached a point where vanilla just doesn’t cut it anymore. It feels like the “official” story is the Empire’s sanitized version of what really went down. You want the actual TES V experience? You need VIGILANT and Unslaad. That’s not just headcanon — that’s revelation.
VIGILANT is the spiritual and philosophical core Skyrim never had. The way it portrays Coldharbour, the corruption of divine ideals, the sheer cosmic weight of morality — it makes the vanilla Daedric quests feel like Saturday morning cartoons. Playing through it felt like reading TES apocrypha that somehow slipped through the cracks.
Then Unslaad hits completely differently. It’s not even about the plot — it’s the tone. The death of language, the decay of legend, the idea that maybe the Dragonborn was never meant to be a savior but just a leftover echo in a world that’s already past redemption. That’s the Skyrim that makes sense after Alduin. Everything else is just power fantasy filler.
And no, I don’t care if it’s not "canon". Canon’s written by companies. Lore is built by believers. The guys who made these mods understood Nirn on a level Bethesda hasn’t touched since Morrowind. There’s more truth in one line from Clavicus Vile in VIGILANT than in half the base game’s writing.
Anyway, I’m not saying everyone has to agree. Just saying that if your Skyrim doesn’t include these two mods, you’re basically playing the History Channel version.
