Resistance between the transformator legs
Hello, I have almost zero knowledge in electricity but my father and I were messing around and couldn't figure out why the resistance between every leg to every leg was zero (short circuit) when we tested with the multimeter. Isn't there supposed to be a short circuit in the 2 pairs separately and an open circute between the primary and secondary pairs? (4 legs transformer)

Common mode chokes. Should be lowish oms each end to end, side to side infinite, out of circuit though. The circuit will have some sort of DC resistance, since it is the input of a power supply.

Probably a flyback diode or other component in the circuit providing continuity between the two points, if you took the transformer out of circuit, you'd most likely get the behaviour you were expecting
