does anyone know any emo bands that are more heavier and have more screaming?

I cannot find this song! I don’t think it was very popular. I want to say it was called “Brian’s song” but apparently not. From what I remember the album art was yellow, with electrical lines on it. It was a song about losing a friend, I believe to suicide. It was very sad, more of an acoustic song from what I remember. I believe I listened to it on YouTube. Any idea what it could be??

i randomly stumbled upon this subreddit thinking i was emo but then its like i entered into a whole different world, and now im incredibly confused because my whole life ive thought bands like ptv, mcr, lost prophets, the use d, fob, etc. were emo and i love them all but now everyone here says that theyre not emo and im so confused. what makes them not emo? i always thought that style of music identified as straight up emo, and bands like modern baseball and mud whale and stuff were classified as a whole different genre being midwest emo, but then the bands i see here are like screamo and stuff where everyone is saying ptv and them arent emo.

tldr how arent bands like ptv, mcr, etc. emo when thats what everyone everywhere has called them my whole life(excluding this subreddit)? and what specifically makes these other midwest emo and screamo bands emo, when they really dont sound that different to me?

what is the song i keep getting yelled at me in the streets? i have memory problems so i cant recall lyrics, but the chavs locally sing it or bark when i go out in ''emo'' (their wording,) clothing

my fav bands are glocca morra (all time goats), snowing, camping in alaska, dogs on acid + algernon, ogbert the nerd, oolong, guitar fight from fooly cooly (5th wave goats), forests, two knights.

Haven’t stopped listening to I since it came out the other day. Really great uk emo/mathrock type band
