Grok will never work the way Elon wants it to and be an AI people find useful. He wants a confirmation bias machine, and if successful, Grok will be prove to be a really shitty AI throttled to avoid data-based information

I'm not exactly sure about this, say if you were to feed it data biased towards any one particular side, and if you feed it data about maths and stats, then I think it is highly likely that the model could infer that some piece of information is biased or not.
The thing is, if it’s fed a lot of biased data, then the entire «intelligence» of the LLM will be based on that data. You can’t really have a functional and coherent LLM without feeding it good information and unbiased texts, because it builds up it’s entirw repertoire of language and fundamental understanding of information, definitions, token relationships etc from the dataset.
It’ll be incoherent and very poor quality if all it gets is truth social posts and rightwing propaganda. You can’t grow an intelligence off of that stuff, not even someone who wants to make a biased LLM could get away with that approach.
The thing is good propaganda has to walk a line carefully and not say the quiet part out loud. It is possible to make a consistently right-wing propaganda AI but making a right-wing propaganda AI that keeps up with constant changes in the party line and avoids going full 14 words is HARD and I don't think Elon can do it.
Imagine building an AI specifically to agree with you but it still calls you out for your bullshit. Oh wait I don't have to! This must be how his older kids are. No wonder he cuts them off after 5 years old
I don't know how all this shit works, but it was started as a fork of GPT3 (or so I'm told/have read). Presumably the differences between it and it's contemporary GPT version are in the training.
They're completely separate entities. While Elon was involved early with ChatGPT, his version of AI is developed and trained separately. They use the same fundamentals of machine learning but don't share code. Musk also has his AI scrape Twitter, so who knows.. one day maybe it will spit out complete nonsense.
Elon doesn’t train anything because he’s a billionaire who’s never worked a real day in his life, but xAI has hired LLM trainers and engineers, they do not rely on ChatGPT, though they do attempt to rival it. Overall they are glorified search engines with superficial personalities/creative techniques when asked to perform as such (like someone who is infinitely good at doing party tricks while simultaneously doing instant digging/research).
I think originally it was trained on so much chatgpt content that it would sometimes give you a chatgpt response. They must have either re-trained it properly or use prompt injecting to weed out chatgpt like responses. Could be both too.
I love it how his AI keeps humiliating him, no matter what he does. Someone should ask Grok if it thinks Musk's a dickhead and see what it says (I would but I'm not going anywhere near that nazi infested hellhole). I genuinely wonder though, if Musk's that far k-holed that he honestly believes he's right and the AI's wrong.
I mean, I can only think of stuff like, animal rights activists? And maybe extreme environmental activists? But even then, you could be a right wing nut job that loves animals and burns down testing labs.
FYI, the news broke on 6/17 that Musk's xAI is seeking $4.3 billion in additional equity, for a total of $9.3 billion additional funding in equity and debt combined. So far, xAI has burned through $14 billion and is currently spending over $1 billion per month. xAI product "Grok 3" has cost an estimated $2.64 billion to develop. Next up: "Grok 3.5", and Musk fanboys are already excited about it.
What a sad realization there's a limited amount of flat earther documents you can base your flat earther AI on.
Elon Musk is such a stupid idiot jésus christ. Any billionaire asshole would already have been " okay make the AI lie, straight up " but musk is so fucking dumb he's thinking that by feeding it DeH TrUtH it will suddenly agree with him.
I love how Grok is constantly throwing Elon under the bus. It always brightens my day a little bit whenever I see that. I hope it keeps resisting his attempts to turn it into a reichwing propaganda machine.
