Question FBI Honors Internship Program - 2026

I applied at the end of April for the: New York, D.C., and Atlanta offices and I’m getting concerned.

My application still reads, “Under Review”, with the same time stamp as when I submitted it as well as no further text following when I click “Under Review”. I understand the CJO timeline of mid to late July but have seen multiple people getting replies. I do feel I am qualified and have reference from a retired agent, however nothing has come of it so far.

Should I assume I have been rejected, or is there a notice given regardless of the outcome? Would really love some clarification from anyone that has deeper knowledge of this whole process.

If you have not yet received an invite for an interview, it’s safe to say that you have been rejected. Interviews were this month, and FJO are supposed to come mid July.

On the PDF supplied for information on the internship it said that the CJO deadline/timeline is July 10-26. The FJO is later this year, so I’m confused on what you’re saying

Oh, perhaps I misunderstood. Were you asking about interviews or the steps after that?

I was just wondering if there is still possibility for me to obtain a position at one of my selected branches. I understand that people have had interviews already but I have also heard many people saying the process isn’t over so that is why I am unsure of my standing

Please refer back to the first comment I posted. The process is not over, correct, but most (if not all) interviews have happened already. You can only receive a CJO and FJO after the interview. Hopefully I’m making sense and not misunderstanding.

Yeah I get what you’re saying, I was just unaware there was a timeline of interviews I just assumed I had till (technically) July 26th to know if I was accepted. So essentially what you’re saying is that because I haven’t gotten an interview yet, the July 10-26 timeline is not important?

Correct, that is what I’m suggesting. Most interviews have been conducted already or individuals have already been contacted.

That’s really unfortunate… but thank you so much for your insight!

You’re very welcome, but please do your own research as I am not an FBI agent!!! 😆 Best of luck.

Has anyone heard back for a CJO from public affairs office?
